I have also heard that Taylor Swift once took on Khabib in a closed doors MMA match and she choked him out after about 90s seconds. She also shot a 62 on Beth Page Black the day after one of her NY shows without even going to the range to warm up. And the dunked on Nikola Jokic in a pickup game after one of her Dallas shows.
I doubt this big time. I don't think she has the energy to run 90+ miles a week and to do her singing job. She would be rail thin.
It was her preparation for the tour...she doesn't do it during the tour itself, that alone keeps her in shape. Just think of it as off season training. Also we must remember she didn't say 90 mpw, the OP threw out that number with a wild guess.
She never said she did this every day. I also doubt you've seen her concert. She's dancing for almost the entire 3-4+ hours each time, back-to-back days.
Be fr, she probably couldn't handle a single DT day. Acting like it's difficult to fake sing and play just dance for 4 hours. Her personality is so blatantly manufactured it's hilarious. I promise you she hasn't been on a treadmill longer than 20 minutes in her life.
100% She's full of Sh!t. Most all celebrities are during interviews. It's PR. No one understands running in the main steam media. It's like when that college kid who plays intramural soccer tells you he ran under 4min in the mile in HS.
- She did say “every day” (or at least published articles have) but as she’s not an anal distance runner she could have meant 4-5 days/week with no duplicitous intent.
- As others have noted, her set may be 3:15 but that includes a bunch of costume changes, special effects and audience interaction, not to mention instrumentation. Not hard to believe that when stripped down to her singing straight through it’s more like 2:00.
- If she’s averaging 12 minute miles for 2 hours, that’s 10 miles. If she does that 4-5 days/week, we’re down to half of the OP’s “90 mpw,” and that’s distance traveled on her feet, not distance run.
- I see random middle aged women with full time jobs do an hour on the elliptical or walking/jogging on the treadmill 5 days a week at the Y. Why would I be skeptical of a 33 year old self-made billionaire with all the time in the world doing 2+ hour sessions to prepare for an ambitious world tour?
- Don’t think for a second that her workout regimen would translate to a good 5k time—only a young runner unable to see beyond their limited scope would think that. To run a 20:40 5k you have to run 9 mph for an extended time, and there’s no reason to believe T-Swift cranked up to that speed even for a second. Excellent fitness for her is more likely being able to jog 9 minute miles for an hour and not be exhausted or sore the next day.

Even assuming an average mile pace of 13:00, she would have averaged over 13 miles of running a day. So clearly, she’s lying. What’s strange is that pro runners are playing along with it. Citius Mag posted about Swift’s supposed training regimen on Instagram, and in the comments pro runners like Nikki Hiltz and Aisha Leer are responding positively. What’s more, there isn’t a single comment questioning the validity of Taylor Swift’s statement. Weird.

this isn't that hard to believe. she is dancing and singing for hours and sometimes on back to back days. it's also not like she is running those 90+ miles at a competitive level. if i had to guess, she doesn't do hills or intervals. it's mostly just jogging and some strides/drills/light weight lifting.
Have you ever seen a video of her performing? "Dancing" is a generous way to describe what she does. She mostly just does half squats and waves her arms around and points at stuff. Sometimes she walks across the stage. The people on the bikes in this video are getting a way better workout than she is. If there's anything she needs to do to train for her shows, it's bodyweight squats and lat raises with 2 pound dumbells

Your estimate of 12-13 minutes/mile average is too fast. That would feel very fast while belting out songs. And why would she have to walk faster than 20-minute pace when she's tired and singing a slow song.
I would guess five days of 2 hours averaging 15 minutes/mile -- 40 miles/week -- at most. And she's obviously capable of more.
They care less about your 5k time. And let's be honest...in the scope of life, what does your 5k time actually do for anyone?
I can finish a 5k, and still have time to bang a 78 year old broad recovering from triple bypass, before you walk/jog to the line.
It's nice that you want to create bad blood and you buy too hard into your love story about your reputation, but the blank space in your mind, and the wholesomeness in mine makes me wish you would shake it off but you're too preppy in your cardigan so you can't even do that in your wildest dreams.
I live in Vancouver and work out at a fancy hotel gym (actually formally in the trump tower which is now called something else).
During her tour stop here TS actually came to my gym for a workout while I was there.
They closed the gym while she was working out but a handful of members that were already there continued to workout (and obviously all of us extended are workouts to last exactly as long as TS was there and pretended not to care)
Anyway her entire workout was a 20k treadmill run which lasted a little under 2 hours. She didn’t seem at all flustered by this. She only stopped once for maybe 4 minutes for a drink break.
Anyway it’s not fast but anyone saying “oh she can only handle 20 minutes” or whatever I promise you are mistaken
