How is a doctor in the running for most successful non-running career?

I bet there are many other doctors and lawyers who have run at D1 schools. It's just they are not well known to the public. Here is another. It's really a question of what you consider "a successful career" is. Becoming famous is not the goal of most people.

I’ve seen another source as well, so it’s probably fair to assume he did run XC at the Naval Academy. And it is a D1 school, so it is not a stretch to call it one. That’s like saying it’s “a stretch” to call a 5’5 man a man.

"Most successful career" implies some kind of notoriety.
She may have a happy life as a doctor but that is not notable in any way, shape, or form.
Intelligence matters here. The OP had that in the title but later was asking about successful women who had been Division 1 runners. So the poster mentioned some success stories after their college running experiences. Otherwise you could shoot down just about any mention of anyone besides whoever you have crowned as the most successful.
