TUOHY IS DONE

She is clearly ready to run with them; she just got 7th beating Kelati and Infeld both of whom were thought to be in contention for the 3rd spot. Not ready to beat all of the pros and make a team, but she is not a pro yet either. She has a lot of upside.

Using that logic, Tuohy is only the 6th best 1500 runner in the NCAA. One race doesn't determine a career. I guess 6 women should go pro before her.

Wrong. Ncaa is not competitive on a worldwide level in 1500 to 10000m. Yes a 400m ncaa champion is a great athlete. A 5000m winner is so slow its sad

From a dollars perspective, she would earn less today than if she went pro right after indoor. But she finished about where we all (rational people) thought.

She is fast enough to compete in the 5/10K but she is simply not strong enough to go really fast AND the race be tactical. If she was pro right now she would have to slink back to some team where everyone is kinda happy she failed since they compete.

Another year of college may be the best thing to happen to her because she can get stronger with support.

Perhaps she was the youngest person in the race.

Perhaps she had a very long year-- xc, indoor and outdoor.

Perhaps her coach will have her run xc, skip indoor, and run a good outdoor

leading up to the trials and a spot on the Olympic team. That's what I see in store

for a very talented, determined runner.

Only someone like KT can get 7th at USA's and the day after have 3 of the top 10 threads on LRC

Well judging by the negative titles and content of these threads they certainly weren’t started by fans of this athlete were they?? “Tuohy is done” Hmmm now what kind of LR posters would want to start this type of s**t? Whoever could it be? Needs to all be deleted to stop feeding them.

Sorry that is not on topic, but I got an urge to comment seeing how passionate you are about this girl.
As an outsider, US collegiate AND high school running programs (also basketball, football, wrestling... what did I miss?) seem outerworldly to me. Not only you take it damn serious, but you make money out of that? Wot? We in the other parts of the world, just don't take it that serious (like at all!). If somebody want to be a pro he/she is on their own. Train alone, work normal jobs to sustain yourself while you train... I'm not complaining, just saying.
Still, I am amazed there are so many threads about college girls/boys here. This is super weird to me. In our country the only two ways for people to know who you are if you're an athlete are 1. you medalled in the Olympics 2. you are a soccer player.

Actually, there are virtually no threads about college boys here. The threads about college girls are almost all about 1) Katelyn Tuohy 2) Valby Parker and 3) Addy Wiley. The Katelyn Tuohy fanatics/weirdos spend all day praising Tuohy or disgustingly attacking Wiley.

Women mature in the running biz at their own unique pace. I dont know if KT will be a national champ or go to olympics, but I know for sure i have seen more evidence that she will (at 19-21) than she wont. Nothing has changed.

Cranny is currently the top American. Let's use her as the example rather than 1000 others who are not.

From what I can see there are numerous threads often started by overzealous Tuohy fans which draw posts from what seem to be "anti Tuohy" fans or fans of other athletes which attack Tuohy. Often the non registered usernames give themselves away, such as "Tuohy is a quitter". And then there threads attacking Tuohy apparently started by "anti Tuohy" fans or fans of other athletes which draw posts from Tuohy fans often attacking other athletes. And somewhere in the middle of all this there are maybe 10% meaningful posts.
