Huh. Thanks for posting. Two things that show up immediately:
1) She her feet narrow in the blocks. That research was done years (decades) ago: (Somewhat) wider is better, at least for most sprinters.
2) She ran most of the curve well out in her lane, rather than hugging the inner line. Simple math: Every foot farther out around a curve = about a meter of extra distance.
And yes, her front- and back-side mechanics are certainly not typical of most top sprinters nowadays. Different things work for different people--Michael Johnson demonstrated that--and she really does run a little like Stecher, who had an okay career.

She really has a great start, actually reminded me of Ben Johnson, kind of a two foot jump start like he did in 1988. A really powerful runner, very efficient stride, no wasted motion as far as I can tell. How about 11.32 for 2nd at states?? Brahe-Pedersen looks like she is going to be a good professional, though of course she already has pro coaching in hs. I see 10.7s in her future a couple years down the road.
Looked like it got away from her a bit at the end, she seemed to lose some high-speed coordination. Interesting, because that can be trained. Very interesting prospect. Likewise her early/mid accel, she can still have much better angles.
For the type of race profile she ran, this is a very fast result.

I was very impressed also with her 22.65 in the 200. Her two Relay times were also very impressive. With a 3:48 4x400, she had to have had a very fast split. Does anyone from Oregon that posts here know what her relay split was.
PA guy said 53.05 split. 9.91 auto timed rolling start on 2nd leg of 4x1 SLOWING up on the state 400/300H champ 3rd leg who had long ass run in and taking before the 200m mark one split’s a stick at. Would be a 9.8 low or better full speed.
