Well you have thousands to choose from but you haven't found one. Post one person and their improvement from age 16-21 at the amount that Tuohy improves and then show that they dropped another 30-45 seconds after.
Well I dont think I can find someone else who ran 9:05 at age 15 and then got to 8:35 at age 20 either. So I guess that didn't happen?
Yes we all know that. So you choose to not use the improvement of any other runner but dont like when others do it. You know it won't impact her performance or improvement if I say that she will top out at 14:40? I woukd rather that she run 14:15 but I don't think she will.

I am just trying to "think" the way you seem to!
I think you can find pictures. Are you suggesting that she hasn't changed? Are you suggesting that she is smaller? Those are the other 2 choices. It is obvious to me that she is bigger and stronger. I can see it. And I can see it in her mile and 3000 times. But her 5000 has not improved.

Everybody is faster today. 14:30 is the new 15:00 for women.
you talk as if americans runs casual 14:30s 😂 they dont

I don't see an obvious change in her from when she won outdoor 5000 in 2022 to from this past indoor season. But since you are the one making the claim, show some evidence.

That wasn't the point. People try to compare times of pros from 5 or 10 years ago.
tuohy is literally just 10 seconds off an american record
thats not years ago.. that a month ago
You are showing your lack of historical knowledge again. This is why your claims about Tuohy can't be taken seriously. How many American women casually ran 15:00 10 years ago? 14:30 is the new 15:00.
All of our current 14:30 runners ran 15:15-15:30 in ncaa and then improved as pros. Tuohy will most likely finish '23 ncaa outdoor at 14:50 for 5k (based off 4:24 / 8:35) and then have 20 seconds to go as a 'pro' to get to 14:30. If others can improve, why not kt?
Tuohy was injured in hs from 4/19 thru 1/21 fr yr at NC st. (yes she continued to race sporadically thru injury, but not w full training) Now w 2+ years of health she got back on an improvement curve.

Your discussion of her body is pathetic and gross.
She is a high level college athlete. Watch the NCAA basketball games tonight and see how many times the announcers talk about the body changes of the players. Player X was skinny coming out of high school bu put 30 pounds of muscle on in college. Player y was overweight in high school amd got on a program which caused him to lose 25 pounds. They will talk about weight many, many times.
That is correct. They improved much faster than her and continued into the professional ranks. But thanks for pointing it out again.

But there aren't awards or teams made for improvement, if someone runs 14:30 and Tuohy sprints in with 14:29 and less improvement, she still wins. Simpson never ran much faster than her ncaa 3:59 / 15:00, but they still let her keep the medals.
Correct. But the data indicates that she won't run 14:30 because she hasn't improved as much as the other pros.

Tuohy is already faster than many pros. She podiumed at Dr Sanders and at Millrose and ran top times in 3k & mile this season. The next step for her would be to become truly elite for US runners and make some teams. It makes no sense why anyone would predict that she won't progress when she has not even trained at altitude or with a pro team yet. She will be fine, Nostradamus.
She isn't faster than professionals. Thsie aren't professionals. They work 20 hours per week at the local running store. Schweizer is a pro. Monson is a pro.

How fast does she need to run 3000m to make you believe she can break 15:00? 8:20? Correlations between times are a real thing.
I watched her run some 5000s this season. That is the way that most people determine times. They didn't let anyone into the 5000 at nationals based on theor 3000 times. You should suggest that.
