katelyn ran 4:24 mile then ran 4:24 and 4:23 1600m
jenny barringer ran 4:25mile before she ran 3:59 1500m
katelyn might be going for the record
jenny ran 4:25 mile ncaa record on 2009 indoors
then she ran 3:59 1500m ncaa record on 2009 outdoors
katelyn ran 4:24 mile ncaa record on 2023 indoors

When Simpson ran 3:59 she was fortunate enough that the Pre Classic was right around the same time she was peaking for NCAA's. Pre isn't until September this year so i'm not sure what race Tuohy is going to find with enough fast people to race with . Maybe Mt Sac?

Mt Sac is not on the schedule, but they don't have Tuohy's 'special meets' like Dr Sander or Millrose posted, so maybe.
I am curious if posters predicting 3:59 for Tuohy also think Whittni Morgan will get there too? Morgan so far has demonstrated faster closing speed. She dropped 26 seconds off her 3k since last year running 8:30, and ran 4:04.86 in June, 4:23 mile in Jan.

Morgan did run 8:43 last May....but your point is valid she seems to be faster at 1500 and 3000 so far.

I guess I am somewhat skeptical that either of them will be ready to run sub 4 this season, but generally I think Morgan has a better shot of doing so this year.
Running sub 4 would place either of them in the top 12 US all time, ahead of runners like Cory McGee and Nikki Hiltz, just to illustrate how difficult it is to do.
When Simpson ran the time the splits were 47.72, 65.36, 64.78, 62.05. Elise Cranny also broke 4 last summer in Monaco, but I can't find the splits.

From this video I estimate Cranny was 46.1/~1:51.5/~2:57.5 but I could be off by a tenth or 2
Faith Kipyegon of Kenya runs the second-fastest time in women's 1500m history and sets a national record in the process with her world-leading and personal-b...
Florida has VA Challenge on the schedule this year. Same meet where Tuohy ran her 5k PR last year. If Valby is in the race (and healthy) it could be good.
katelyn might race at sound running trackfest vs pros .. remember that meet with jakob vs american runners last year?? that one
then she ran 3:59 1500m ncaa record on 2009 outdoors

theres soundrunning trackfest ... theres fast 1500m and 5000m ... its before ACC championships
can you record it???? and when you record, please dont include our audio???
I have no idea what you mean by "don't include our audio". I was at the meet at J Serra last year to see Jakob. Maybe I go out to Walnut this year if they attract good fields. One week before ACC (and 1 week after Penn Relays would not be ideal for her, but perhaps no matter. I guess it depends on what they deem most important.
