nope I don't care for any 'political hosts'. I like to look at the world and what makes sense and think for myself. It seems like it really bothers you when people do that instead of quietly obeying stupid nonsense like lemmings. Three years of stupid nonsense has wrecked so many facets of our society and caused so much pain and misery for so many people. I'd be ashamed if I played along with it.

No shirts, no shoes, no service. It's 2023, a business can impose any rules they wish as long as they are not discriminating. It's your choice to do business with them or not. They are not destroying any of your rights.

I was a republican for almost 30 years. I'm not a democrat now. I no longer affiliate with any party due this type of behavior. By that I mean the right calling the left sheeple while being by far more sheeple like that the left. By calling the left "woke" but acting far more "woke" that the left (and my simple definition of woke being having your mind opened to some "truth" you now percieve). The destruction of the conservative mind has been brutal over the past 10-20 years.

Just to show my balance - I'll call out the left for complaining about hate on the right using hateful language. Urban tech elites screaming for equality while bringing in 300k+ a year.

I am pro-vax and am 50/50 on masks (some on the left don't like that stance and say I should be 100% on masks) depending on where they are worn but if someone asks me to wear one it's no big deal, and I'll comply with the rules without being rude.

I am also a supporter of the Ukraine effort (which some on the right hate for some reason). You can be a moderate. I hate how everything is either AOC/Bernie liberals or Righties and no in-between.

Actually, in general I think Des is awesome. Yes, she's trying to make money. Who isn't? She's 39 years old! The fact she's NOT out running world records simply makes it more likely she's not on PEDs.

But this is wrong. She should have opted out of any event requiring masks unless it was specifically targeted towards a specific population.

Those who think this is NBD probably live in TX or don't have kids. When your kids missed more than a year of school and then spent a solid year masked from morning til night due to masking zealots, masking is a very, very big deal.

Being pro-vax is moderate. There is nothing moderate about being pro vax mandate - that is an extreme stance.

And given that there are still kids being subjected to mask mandates in places in this country, I think any stance other than fervent anti-mask mandate is unacceptable at this point. Want to wear a mask? Have at it. But the vast majority of voluntary mask wearers would love to impose mandates on everyone else. Don't pretend otherwise.

It's quite rare for private businesses to mandate masks. The overwhelming majority of mask mandates were government imposed. Ask the kids who went to school in masks for over a year after spending a year at home to protect the elderly.

I have NEVER seen a private business mandate masks in the absence of a government mandates. I know they exist, but they are so rare as to be inconsequential. But the government mandate on all businesses on the west coast lasts two solid years, the school mandate even longer. This is not OK.

On the west coast, you must STILL wear a mask in medical settings, at prisons, and at nursing homes. Want to visit grandma? She hasn't seen your face in nearly three years, and she's not going to see it today. Try taking your 2- or 3-year-old to the doctor. You'll spend way more time trying to get her to keep her mask on than you will discussing her health with the doctor. Got to start indoctrinating them young. Want to try on eye-glasses? Better bring your mask. Need one at the orthodontist too! Except of course when he's practically putting his head in your mouth to get a look at those back teeth. But don't worry, the government are keeping you safe.
