Beat me to it. I was literally just reading this article 10 minutes ago and about to post it here. I didn't know much about her and was researching. Amazing story. She was driven to run in her early teens because it gave her "relief" from her Tourette Syndrome.

again you show you know very little about how the collegiate system works. there's a small but very unlikely chance that in the middle of the year there's extra $$ laying around. Most is allocated by now. winning back to back doesn't mean they also magically have more to give to athletes... thats not how it works.

Number 4? She was not fully healthy last fall, but was third at NCAA xc in March '21 and has prs of 4:09 8:53 (better than NC state record!). With all healthy it's a 3 headed monster at the front. Touhy, Chmiel, T-maa matches up nicely with Roe, Cook, Jepkirui of OSU.

30 day window to do what exactly? I've seen this twice and its confusing because a coach leaving has no impact on transfer rules.

Don't forget about Samantha Bush!! Also, a healthy Starliper would make a 4-headed monster for the Wolfpack. But you are right...T-maa would be a HUGE addition, and possibly their 3rd runner if she were a part of the team.

No argument intended, just wanted you folks to notice that healthy T-maa = Valby. She's a big time talent.
I haven't forgotten Starliper, Rauber, Quarzo, Hartman, Hendrix etc. As we saw in '22 depth is critical.

semi- it doesn't matter who is "used" - you can give a freshman stud a full ride and they may never contribute to the team due to injuries etc. Their scholarship $$ doesn't get shifted to those that are contributing or get put back into the pot for other runners?? (unless the coach pulls the scholarship but I never hear of that happening) Even athletes that redshirt maintain their scholarship for that year. It's not suddenly free to go to someone else... also full athletic rides are not that common.. usually it happens with a combination of academic plus other scholarships. Amaris may get a great academic scholarship, but full athletic in January? not likely

As NC stater was trying to point out, Graduation after Fall term would free up $ or if an athlete leaves the team to go elsewhere...quits or transfers.

Not saying you are wrong, but what's your source? How do we know for sure that they don't have at least some scholarship money available right now, for someone to join immediately?
