Doesn't really matter unless he hangs on by mile 2. Tons of runners go out fast at State thinking they can compete with the top guys and they blow up fast at the hill on the course.

Is Jackson Olsen expected to be fast here? I don't follow SJS D2 very closely. Cool to see a runner from Beyer High up there. My dad went to Beyer many many years ago

Leo would only drop his brother this early in the race if Leo thinks that's the only way to get the course record.
