Nathan Lennox from Great Oak did barely any track as a freshman. Was #1 soph on the team for XC in 2020. Hasn’t done any competitive running since then (was doing other sports) but went on to join the team this year to help them make NXN

Actually it was 2 schools but 3 conferences
Missouri went to SEC in 2012

While none of them were top caliber, there were several multi-year varsity xc runners on my high school team who never ran track. One guy wrestled in the winter (119lbs, I believe) and played tennis in the spring. T he rest were soccer players. The soccer players were all-conference in xc.
