Young definitely looked flat in that last bit. I'll chalk it up to him being in the middle of a hard training block because his kick isn't terrible (closed in a 55 or something at the NCAA 5000), and on paper he should be one of the strongest ones there. Maier just looked so good though. Hicks and Sprout are looking really strong as well. Shisama was flailing all over the place but he finished pretty well too.
Interesting to see George Kusche in the early lead. He is too good of a runner to blow up like he did. I would expect Kusche to be one of NAUs top guys in November.
Yeah, I think the NAU boys are early in their training cycle, as they should be now. Smith will have them peaking for NCAAs.
