katelyn tuohy running 15:14 as a 20 year old does not gurantee being world class in the future but she has more chances of being one ... specially when shes running this time while just training as a college student, and going to classes and many more responsibilities as a 20 year old student and not a pro runner whos paid and got all the time to train and run

Touhy is 4 months older than Nico Young. I’m a big fan of Touhy, but her 5000m PR is 68 seconds slower than the WR while Young is only 36 seconds off of the men’s record. For the time being, we should be more excited about what Young has accomplished.

You comment just tells how Tuohy is progressing so well in her own right that you cannot even provide any other female american runner or past pro runners that are running her times when they were 20 hence you compare her to a MAN.

Young Tuohy has show promise with her times when she was in high school and after several years she has shown that she can overcome changes, injuries and adversities, rise above all of it and get even stronger and faster than she ever did and continue breaking records
