Speaking of records... the college mile record is only 429.09, in season, and 427 any time, the 429 seems very possible to break....
The mile record is 4:25 by Jenny Simpson.

What seems odd to me is there is a pic on Instagram this week with her and the team on the basketball court being recognized for XC - with Tuohy holding the (heavy) trophy. Seems inconsistent with the injury or covid speculation.
That's probably how she got hurt lugging that damn heavy trophy around

Tuohy is going after the u20 5k record... that's my guess anyway...
Will she try to break the outdoor one also that was set by 16 year old Jenna Hutchins?

Doesn't she turn 20 this year? 2 years out of hs. If so, no U20 records. BU was last shot and she took it.

I don't know it seems like the Wild West in terms of the way websites report them and. if you look on different sites you get different listings. One website listed Hutchins as the record holder and another listed someone running 15-20 in college as the record holder
Anyway I just thought you had to be under 20 when you set the record , I didn't know they went by calendar years I didn't know that you had to be in the calendar year so basically if your birthday January 1st vs December 31st that can make a difference of a whole Year's eligibility?

katelyn tuohy is only 19 .. turning 20 in march, she only has the this indoor season left to break u20 records.. im also thinking that shes gunning for that 5k record
the hookie invite isnt fast, its just a rust-buster for the nc state runners .. im guessing they are planning and working on that 5k record ... they clearly put her in that 3k last year to break it, they knew she could..

I checked on the list on u20 american record and jenna hutchins does not own the u20 5k record
it is Sarah Disanza with her time of 15:30
Tuohy is ineligible for U20. It is the age on Dec 31 of the year. Last year was her last U20 year. I see some of youvare new to sports.
Who cares bro whats the relevance to the thread... it's indoor season... I like Jenna too, but it's tougher to run indoors anyway... and she hasn't run for almost a year... remember all the nuts saying she was gunnar break every record... she got I tuohy
Hutchins got 1 track record, tuohy has like 5 then another 5 age group records... tuohy is the greatest living american, that's why Biden spent 30 minutes talking about her at his press conference. Can't wait for the stamp and monument!
She has no records. Age group records are meaningless.
