That had nothing to do with "B" heat Centro.
He didn't like how Centro ended the race, presumably, to him, to do the minimum to beat Cole Hocker.
And ok. Maybe it's not a likable style. But to me, I don't see an issue. Should Centro sandbag the whole race and not win the B heat just because people don't want to see him in that heat?
Ultimately, at the end of the day, Centro races for Centro, not Cooper Teare and not Clayton Shumway.

I listened to about 29 minutes of one of their podcasts and found it unlistenable. They both came off as terribly immature and lacked any professionalism.

Difference is that there was no big 1500/5000 race in 2020. Lots of elites trained to TT for a world record, both women's and men's were broken, but Centro has no shot at a 12:35. Teare is the age when it makes sense for him to train hard and improve for a chance at being a notable runner or better, but Centro has nothing to gain. Best he can do is rest and not get too out of shape before ramping up for Tokyo.

Disrepectful? Says the guys bashing an elite college runner who made some jokes about a friend on a podcast. These were JOKES. I'm sorry that you're too naive to understand the difference between disrespect and inside jokes.
Bringing the discussion back to his maturity. This has been documented in one of many youtube videos. The guy still thinks he's 19 and stays up all night playing video games. He hasn't moved on from that mentality. Having a junior runner tell the media that the elder stateman is the immature one in the group speaks volumes.
Lmao off the track Centro is extremely immature that's part of his schtick. Now someone points to the obvious and everyone gets upset. It was really lame to enter the B heat and win that way for someone of his stature. Why should Centro need a win to feed his ego? Right because he's the most immature person in T&F. Centro does not need to be defended here in fact I'm 100% sure he's proud of people acknowledging his behavior.
Totally agree with Teare on this one. Centro is a such a p****sy for entering the B heat as a gold medalist. He's also a douche and gets no girls.

and yes, centro is a legend of american runner just by virtue of being a gold medalist, but that doesn't mean you can't have an opinion about his personality just like anyone else.
