Ha! Like The Goose but so happy OAC won’t be getting the win. Ritz’s ego needs to get a reality check. Love it
Not the greatest year for OAC Boulder in 2025, is it? At least Nuguse made it to the starting line, I suppose. That seems to be half the battle in that group.
I am so psyched. Starts in a few minutes. That Men's International mile field is loaded. Could their winning time be within 2 seconds of Bowerman winner? Weather looks good. mid to upper 70s, a little wind, no humidity.
LOL, NUGUSE AND HOCKER SUCK. JAKOB RAN FASTER THAN THIS IN FEBRUARY ON A WORST TRACK. THESE GUYS AREN'T ON THE LEVEL OF JAKOB AND LAROS 😂😂😂😂
I mean he must have been so devoid of oxygen in that final 80 he just had no idea where he was on the track. I noticed with like 120m to go that he started really breaking down but just dug in super hard to keep himself even going. A lot of credit to him despite no winning - he put himself out there.
I do hope the "WR is a formality" crew took note of that race. I said it on another thread - it's REALLY HARD to break WR's in mens track in particular. A lot of things have to line up for these things to happen. Nuguse got that slightly wrong in the opening 800m (I felt too fast right from the gun) and it cost him big time in the final 200.
Good points. I had Laros at mid 53 on the final lap. Better pacing would have him in the 3:44s. Still, none of these times got near Jakob's indoor mile even with solid pacing. Was also expecting more from Whiteman but a good way to kick the season off.
27 upvotes? are you guys stupid? he ran slower at Pre last year than he did today
This is a good result for him at this point of the season. The emphasis has always been the championship race for him . A much better result when he finished 7th last year at this race. People thought that 13:09 5k dl race would carry over to the mile lol.
