HOLY CRAP NICO BEAT FISHER. I should’ve expected that to happen in such a slow race but i’m also glad blanks was able to get the third spot. Such a fast final 1600 got the strong guys in the lead.
Fantastic close from Nico! I think Grant should still feel good about his medal odds given that he likely won’t be tasked with leading at worlds.
Wow, Nico got that killer instinct in the last 50!

3:58 last mile?
America is in a great spot in the distance races.
All three guys could medal.
you have to think this is a guy who can medal at worlds
closed in sub 57 in a 29 min. race, no chance in a sub 27 race
Nike is calling Mike Smith right now - saying you either have him go Nike or you can't train him anymore
Never get a fresh shorn haircut before an important meet. They should all be okay for Worlds.
Nico MF Young gonna be world champion
In the last 300 hundred Fisher lead Young, Blanks lead Fisher, Young lead both, Fisher caught Young and Young outkicked Fisher - what a race!

Watch these guys go 1-3-5 this year
Has a sub-4 mile ever happened at the end of a 10k before?

Grant leaves it too late, with a faster pace at Worlds I'm sure grant doe sbetter
Probably. He actually judged this one pretty well. He had plenty left in the last 200, but Nico’s speed just overwhelmed him. Blanks had an ill-advised pass attempt right before 200…should’ve waited.
A word for Woody Kincaid - he out kicked a half dead, 300 lb Joe Klecker like 4 years ago and has been dining out on having a 'great kick' ever since lol 8th place
What a last mile, made up for the absolute snoozefest during the first 20 laps
Sure the first 25 mins were boring..but damn was the end exciting! Nico MF Young!!! What an era to be in.
Fisher looked flat to me. Not as snappy as earlier in the season.
Pretty awesome how Nico went from “one of the slowest guys in the NCAA and has no kick” to “best kick in the country” in the space of about two years. This time in 2023 he was getting like 6th at NCAAs. Speaks volumes about how careful and disciplined Mike Smith was to build his speed over the course of four years.
