If Laros had stayed up with the leaders, think of what he could have run. That was an insane kick.
well, would you say the same thing about Nordas in 2023. maybe if he had stayed up with the leaders he would have blown up.
we'll never know
Did Crouser retire?? I love Joe but....Trey Hardee talk'in like Kovacs is main man.
PRs for Hocker and Wightman too
A lot to consider with the win from Laros
1. #7 all-time. 3:45.94 is damn fast.
2. Beat one of the best fields in recent memory. That's gotta be encouraging with worlds inching closer. And he did it off a fast pace with a measured last lap!
3. Surely this translates to an excellent 1500. You have to imagine that he could run into the 3:27s considering he walked down a a guy who ran 3:27.49 a few weeks ago.
4. Very curious where his 800 is right now. I've always felt like he had a lot of unfulfilled potential in that event - his 1:44.74 a few years ago was VERY impressive. I know its a stretch but something in the 1:42s this year would be awesome...
5. Coevett must be overjoyed.

Probably slower because they went out too fast. Laros ran even splits.

If he had stayed with the leaders he would have likely run two to three seconds slower and come 12th.
I can remember a Pre mile won by, of all people, Bob Kennedy. I believe that race set a record with 13 guys under 4 minutes. Now we're at 13 under 3:50. We can see the human race progressing right before our eyes.
Fast 100 time with -1.5m/s wind
10.75 into a -1.5????
Is that headwind legit??? 10.75 into a -1.5????

Amazing run, but it was missing arguably the two best milers of the last four years in Jakob and Kerr. But I agree, this announces Laros as a major contender. Closing that hard in a fast race puts him up there
10.75 for Jefferson into a BIG -1.5 headwind. Wow. 10.6s later this year??
Melissa Jefferson!!! wow
wth happened to Sha'carri?
Grand Slam vindicated....Nice win for MJW !!!

Alright so Hocker was doping last year
27 upvotes? are you guys stupid? he ran slower at Pre last year than he did today
Damn - 10.75 into a -1.5 headwind?? What does that convert to at 0.0?
Also, SCR looks to have gone the way of Mu this year. Idk what's up but she looks well out of it
not sure what SCRs deal is. have to wonder how much time she takes off between seasons. just expects it to be there for her when she needs it on the big stage. What a dud.

I am so psyched. Starts in a few minutes. That Men's International mile field is loaded. Could their winning time be within 2 seconds of Bowerman winner? Weather looks good. mid to upper 70s, a little wind, no humidity.
LOL, NUGUSE AND HOCKER SUCK. JAKOB RAN FASTER THAN THIS IN FEBRUARY ON A WORST TRACK. THESE GUYS AREN'T ON THE LEVEL OF JAKOB AND LAROS 😂😂😂😂
