What are you taking about a minor placing? Top non-African, 5th in a Final, nailing what her coach expected her to race and executing like a pro. Three Americans in Final. It was awesome and my daughters loved it. To be that close to the World Record holder and greatest female long distance runner of all-time in Gidey is just an amazing performance.
LOLOL if you don't consider FIFTH to be a minor placing you are simply proving my point.
No comment on your daughters loving the race, except that if they understand anything at all about racing they know that America was irrelevant in this one.

I just watched the replay of the home straight in the women's 10,000 meters and actually Hassan's right elbow and arm made two or three contacts with Tsegay, so personally I think Hassan is being a little bit disingenuous when she claims that she felt "she was pushed" but who knows - maybe she's telling the truth or maybe it's wishful thinking.
