Way too much hate for the guy. He was clearly a good hs coach regardless of having 2 unbelievably gifted families.
I wish him well and think it would be awesome if he came back as a pro coach and his athletes dominated. Why wouldn't you want that?
People also forget that the NP girls team made nationals in 2019. And that they took 9th at nationals in 2021 with only one person per family. Before Brosnan came in, the NP girls team didn’t even make state
His book “Beyond Fast” got an avg rating of 3.93 out of 5 on Goodreads
Sample size was 249 ratings
And most people that bought his book were already Brosnan fans. An extreme example is Donald Trump JR having a rating of around 4, for his own the libs books.
I predict more coy IG posts and teases about a pro group. I don't wish him ill will, but it has become like that friend who keeps talking about his game changing invention or his upcoming interview with a Fortune 500 employer that never seems to land the job or get that patent.

Goodreads routinely sends advance copies to unpublished authors and early reviewers, which often leads to skewed or overly harsh feedback. It’s a poor standalone metric. Amazon reviews are a far more reliable indicator of actual reader response, and Beyond Fast holds a 4.6 rating on Amazon, which is an exceptionally strong score.

Honestly, it’s a really good book. I wasn’t a Brosnan hater or some fanboy going in, but teaming up with Lear worked. It’s not a training book (so relax), but it still touches on some absolutely insane training and what actually went into it without turning into a workout manual. It’s more about insight, context, and how the whole thing actually unfolded. Obviously it had influence from Running with the Buffalos.

I was surprised on just how few people reviewed his book on amazon. I thought it would get around 500 reviews based on the level of interest in the book on LRC. But it's not even close to 100.

What was the absolutely in training that was done at NP, or do I have buy a copy to find out?

People can’t hide behind fake accounts and anonymous handles on Amazon the way they can on Goodreads. That’s why Amazon reviews are industry respected.

I guess a lot of people just didn’t want to look at the book

That argument is backwards. People who feel wronged or want to tear something down are far more vocal than fans. The fact the book rates well tells you everything you need to know and it’s a good book.
