Everyone thought Richard Jewell was the Atlanta bomber.
Everyone thought Richard Kimble murdered his wife.
You think that Trump is a criminal.
He may well be but the others were wrongfully accused. You just may be wrongfully accusing Trump. Your extreme hate for Trump is not allowing you to think clearly. Take some time off and just think more as a rational person might think.

So if it were found that Trump took money from a foreign campaign contributor, directed that money to Essential Consulting and directed Cohen to pay off women right before the election all the while writing it off as a legal expense and not reporting the outside income at the same time, would that be a good reason to elevate Pence to president?
That's not removing a president because you don't like him.
CORRECT! No one is talking about removing Trump because we don't like him. He's a criminal. If Democrats could just get rid of someone they didn't like, Mitch The Turtle would have been gone a long time ago.
Incorrect! If you have evidence of Trump's criminal practices, then please send it to Mueller. You are forever the delusional Clownpole.

Ok Sally. Let’s start with the facts:
1. Barr was appointed by Trump - not independent, his job is to defend Trump
2. Barr preciously wrote in a memo that Mueller’s investigation was wrong. That’s called bias.
So I would want to go through the full contents of the report (not cherry picked) to verify the basis for Barr’s understanding of it in his summary. I don’t have a good reason to trust Barr given his conflict of interest, so I want other parties to access it and see if they concur with his conclusion. Is that reasonable in your eyes?
Barr was appointed by Trump and CONFIRMED by the Senate. 3 Democrats voted to confirm him. Prior to his current job he was held in very high regard by both conservatives and liberals. I would concur that the entire report needs to be seen by Congress. But, it would sure be nice if the Democrats in Congress didn't politicize it.
I'm not one to jump on Barr unless we see he did something illegal or unethical. Trump gets to appoint him, and elections have consequences, so he got confirmed. Barr is also allowed to have opinions going into the job. Perhaps a bit unprofessional to write the memo that he did a year ago and then not recuse himself from the investigation once he got the job, but if we got rid of everyone who did something unprofessional, none of them would have jobs. I think Barr would be beyond foolish to have done something criminal to cover for Trump. Now, if he did, he needs to go the way of Michael Cohen.

4) Just go with the low class thing...it really is. You should stay away from that.
Betting is not low class, you are because you know you'll lose. If you were confident of winning, you'd bet in a heartbeat.
1) Sally wasn't challenging me to bet because he knows I will not do it.
2) Being confident of winning and then betting is even lower class than just thinking you might. I won't take candy from a baby, and I do no bet. Betting is low class...always. Only people who haven't tended to their finances as they should get excited about placing a bet. Low class.

Which, of course, would be extremely far fetched:
In December 1992, then-Attorney General William Barr faced a decision for the history books: Should he recommend presidential pardons for senior government officials accused of crimes in a massive, headline-grabbing White House scandal, even though the pardons would be criticized as the final act of a cover-up to protect the incumbent president?
The decision, Barr later said, was not so difficult. He urged President George H.W. Bush, then in his final weeks in office, to grant Christmas Eve pardons to six men, including former Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger and former national security adviser Robert McFarlane, who had been caught up in a criminal investigation of the so-called Iran-Contra affair. The Iran-Contra special prosecutor, Lawrence Walsh, was outraged by the pardons: “The Iran-Contra cover-up has now been completed.”

This is correct. Those who get nailed for tax fraud usually had something else going on in their lives that pointed investigators toward investigating the tax fraud.
Of all the fraud investigations Trump will face, the tax fraud seems to be the least likely to stick. He is more likely to go down for bank and/or wire fraud and insurance fraud, but tax fraud is definitely on the table too.
Obama weaponized the IRS and had Lois Lerner going after every conservative group they could. In 2015 why would Obama, knowing that Trump could be president, have his minions meticulously scrutinize every tax return that Trump submitted for the last 30 years? Obama despised Trump and had the means to examine every potential tax fraud that Trump might have committed.
No.

I'll bet 40k. Give me your venmo or paypal info, and I'll give you mine, right here for all to see. Tax fraud conviction ain't happening buddy and u know it
1) The bet wasn't with me, brother. I do not bet.
2) I am also not the one who said tax fraud was for sure happening. In fact, I said it was less of a chance compared to bank fraud and insurance fraud for Trump.

I knew you would respond that way. Know this...both sides make mistakes and both sides do things or think things that are wrong. I am on the correct side of seeing all issues at all times, so when I side with Democrats (who as a group do see things properly most of the time but not all the time), I am called a biased liberal (which I am not), and when I side with Republicans, a Republican thanks me for my comments.
Really what should happen is everyone should wait to see what I say about an issue and why I say it, and then just go with that. Part of me wants to just stop this post here, because it would put some of you into a frenzy...but I'm not feeling trollish today, so I'll just admit I was having fun there. I DID know you would respond that way though, but that's a compliment to you.

In fact he has even appointed two chaps to advise him on economic matters who are diametrically opposed to one another. The Republican Party has somehow replaced responsible capitalism with Russian style kleptocracy. So, don’t pretend Trump is a conservative. Calling him a Conservative is like calling Hitler a Socialist simply because of the word ‘socialism’ in his NSDP. It is the values that matter, not whatever a demagogue happens to call himself. And then there is the risk of war now that you have the Pompeo and Bolton team. In the 1930s when much of the world was under the jack boot of fascism the US was a beacon of hope. Sally, you are 100% right. Flagpole always answers "no" when he can't refute something. He's a nut Sally, stay on course. Flagpole is upset because of the recent reports making him look like he is and most of us already knew, WRONG. He'll deflect with a "timeframe" now and said "wait a couple more years". He's an out of control nut. I applaud your patience in dealing with the most least integrity poster on this entire thread, Flagpole the liar. Great job Sally!

I have a wife. I was born in Brooklyn and have lived in Texas for most of my life. I do not live in Portland. I have a sister who lives in Portland. I am a conservative/moderate and am NOT a diehard Trumper. I have previously said I think he is a terrible person but he is better than the alternative and his policies are ones I support.
It's clear the summary leaves out important details. I'm going to need access to not just the Mueller report, but all the underlying data and intelligence reports. Only then will we know the truth.
