No, what it means is that Devin West is going to Miami. Carol Smith from UCF will be the next coach at Clemson.

Well, the men were dead last in the MAC and the women were 8th out of 12. In most other sports that won't get you retained.
It will get you retained in the SEC, look at the schools that brought up the rear.
My short list for CMU:
Clive Roberts if they want track orientated.
Jerry Baltes if he would leave GVSU but I doubt it.
Kevin Hadsell if they are willing to give him a chance.
Any of those three would result in championships. Baltes would probably never leave GVSU for a MAC school. Hadsell would need to show he's capable of raising his level of professionalism to match his coaching ability (now that many of us know the majority of the allegations against him he was cleared of). Clive is an alumn and has been coaching in the Big Ten but not sure he wants to be a head coach.
Baltes gives best options for success. Hadsell not proven men's coach but Toledo had no men's track so hard to evaluate. I would be worried about distance program if they hired Clive.

It's actually fired without cause as all THREE are still be paid by the University. O'Neal has lost his mind
