Hopefully get a good position early and then just keep turning the screws like she did at ACCs last year. If this race is run at 4:09 pace or above there are runners in the race with nasty 200m kicks.
But but but someone posted tuohy had a much faster kick. Not you and not me.
The following image confirms there was contact made to Barnett’s leg by O’Sullivan prior to Barnett’s so-called ‘self-trip’. Why? Look at the position of O’Sullivan’s twisted right leg. It was twisted because it contacted Barnett’s, causing Barnett to bring her left leg forward into her right leg.
Ideally she starts fast and just tightens the screws. She has to be looking at a 4:06 time range. Another thing about this time of year is fatigue is setting in. It has been a long, eventful year. Some of the athletes that didn't make it through just seem to have run out of gas.

While KT is optimistically looking at the 4:06 range, Wiley is eyeing the 4:01 range.

So why did Barnett’s and O’Sullivan’s legs collide? Because O’Sullivan looks to have run up into Barnett’s space.
Exactly
And another thing that threw confusion on this matter is those saying Barnett slowed down, prior to this, but if you watch the video clip posted, she appears to be in a full open stride.
I watched the race, need to rewatch. Tuohy made some tactical mistakes. But, not sure about this one. If she was in 4:05 shape right now she probably would have closed that last lap faster off of 3:05.
Yes. But she also got a bit impeded in the final lap tonight. Even then if she runs the same close off a 3:03 its in the 4:07 range. That will be right on the borderline.

But it’s just the semifinal, maybe trying to just safely get in the top 5 as she did.

Not sure how massive it was. Sure it was hot and humid, but it was a jog with a hard finishing mile. Winning also builds adrenaline, lol. 48 hours too, she'll be in the mix.

She might win. Tuohy will be tired from the 1500m and Kemboi can definitely outkick Valby. Plourde might be a factor, but she was very off today
