Well to be fair Pol Pot has a lot more in common with the educators in America than he did with the ones he butchered in Cambodia.
De Santis can’t kill them. He’s just trying to scare them silent.
“Don’t Say Gay” bill says nothing about that word and it only restricts teaching sexual content to kids in K thru 3rd. My governor and the best I’ve ever had. He’s not a tax, spend and get nothing done Dem. He gets lots done for the citizens of Florida. He was proactive during the pandemic…Florida is the second oldest state in the country, was open for business and education far more than most states and still had a covid death rate that was close to average.

No one was teaching sexual content to third graders before this.
The effect of that particular law is to equate the existence of LGTBQ people as being sexually inappropriate for children, in a way that somehow the existence of straight people is not.
But critics argue it’s unnecessary. Cory Bernaert, a gay kindergarten teacher in Parrish, Florida, says his curriculum has never included discussions of gender identity or sexual orientation. “That being said, should I be able to talk about what my family looks like, if it’s okay for my colleague who is in a heterosexual relationship to talk about what her or his family looks like? Absolutely,” he added. “There should be no sense of discrimination.”
LGBTQ educators in Florida describe widespread confusion over how much they need to hide their own identities, limit discussion of LGBTQ people or history, or notify parents if a student comes out to them.

Thats the effect after Dims spread misinformation about the law. Nothing in the actual content of the law to that effect. Congratulations on buying the narrative and since it worked on you…expect more.
So someone voting down thinks that 13 American soldiers getting killed needlessly and 11 Afghans getting droned in response is a good thing. No other way to interpret that.
I wonder what a thread with actual Democrats on it would read like.
Not really interested in alternate points of view? Everything in the bubble to your liking?
The "bubble" sure isn't Democrats. This was supposedly a thread from a Democrat. But you probably didn't notice that, with all the opinions like yours being voiced here. The usual cacophony from the Right.
For the people like me that responsibly saved, budgeted, sacrificed and paid back their student loans, where’s our $10,000 refund?

This buyers remorse is what it’s about. As an American who didn’t pay for college in the US, I can’t care less either way. It’s a drop in the bucket compared to other stupid national expenses and it’s a slightly larger drop, but drop nevertheless, for college attendees stuck with debt in the richest country in the world.

I noticed it but this is a public forum so you’re stuck with us. I’m looking for the corresponding thread for Republicans and not seeing it. Not surprised because we’re open minded enough to listen to anyone. And not really living in a corresponding bubble.

The illegality of it doesn’t concern you?
That’s a leading question and an opinion until successfully challenged by congress in court.

Many people are stuck with debt for things they purchased, particularly those who may have purchased a more expensive brand over another. Why should college be different?

Nancy Pelosi shared my opinion about a year ago. And the current rationalization for this is the HEROs act and economic hardship from the pandemic. The hardship was worse a year ago and since Biden is simultaneously trying to end Title 42 use at the border the reasoning doesn’t work.
