Yes, I told FW to shut up with his oh-so-annoying "100% guarantee! 100% guarantee!!" that Hillary would win the election. It wasn't funny, it was stupidly repetitive, it was boring and annoying, and of course never was true (there was no 100% about it).

And yes, he's been pulling the same act since then with the Mueller report. Sigh.

But....all you guys attacking FW are....pulling a FW. You are counting your chickens before they hatch with your "100% certainty" that the Mueller report will turn up nothing disastrous or really egregious for Trump. Why? Oh, right, because you love Trump and want it to be so. There are lots of suggestions that some fairly big bombs could be dropped in the report. But who knows for sure (oh, right FW and his critics on the other side both know for sure). Mueller has kept his cards very close to his vest, with almost no statements and few hints. So we'll have to wait to find out.

And as far as Pelosi's statement being some huge sign that nothing will be in the report, what nonsense. Despite right wingers' constant belief in conspiracies, no one is leaking to her. Mueller doesn't play that. She doesn't know what's gonna be in the report either. But....

She DOES know that unless it's bombshells of epic proportions and without any shred of a doubt, Trump and people will explain it all away as a conspiracy against him, as not true, and not sign on to impeach him. And she knows what happened to Repubs when they impeached Clinton: his popularity went WAY UP. As the NYTIMES put it:

"A failed attempt to impeach Mr. Trump and remove him from office, they fear, would only embolden the president’s staunchest supporters and could improve his odds of re-election."

So, believe it or not, she's not stupid. She's taking impeachment mostly off the table, for now. But that could change.

But the main point: the Mueller report could still have hugely negative information on Trump, and really be disastrous for him. We don't know, and we don't know if the Mueller conclusions, or conclusions formed in other investigations, could still lead to impeachment at some point, despite Pelosi's statement. We will see.

You are going to have one tough time come release of the report. There's likely to be no charges and rather a listing of evidence for Congress to deal with. The evidence will be spun both ways in the usual fashion and we'll move to the 2020 election with both sides pointing at each other.

I have not said these will all be covered in the Mueller Report. In fact, I have said exactly NOT that.

The financial stuff is most likely going to be handled by the SDNY, AND the New York Attorney General and probably some other office(s) too (as I have said before). Mueller will lay out evidence of obstruction of justice, witness tampering, perjury and suborning perjury. I do not have a clear vision on where the conspiracy stuff will come from. It MIGHT be in the Mueller Report, and it SHOULD be there...either evidence of it or exoneration of it, but it is unclear what exactly he may have farmed out. I am also unclear just now who will handle the Emoluments Clause violations.

Mueller will indict Don Jr. and Kushner for conspiracy. Manafort will face extra prison time for conspiracy. If this comes down while Trump is in office, he may be indicted under seal.

Trump will eventually be indicted either while in office or after he is out of office (likely the latter). He will spend time in prison for his crimes.

I still maintain he will be impeached by the House before the end of his first term and then the Senate will either convict him, or he will resign (unless death, crime, or aliens from space). If I am wrong about anything, it will just be the timing of it all and he will make it to the end of his first term. I have no opinion yet on whether he can actually win again in 2020 if he is eligible.

I have said for well over a year that if he escapes any of the things I laid out it will be due to plea bargain and/or pardon. It will be shown though that he did commit all the things I have laid out and then some, and even with plea bargain and pardon, he will not be able to escape some sort of a prison sentence.

He is in deep sh!t, and he will not walk away unscathed. He will suffer political, legal, and financial losses, the biggest of which may be the RICO charges that will destroy The Trump Organization.

My one concern with regard to all of this (I am not one to typically be concerned about anything) is that Trump will not live long enough to face the music. He's an obese 72 year old. Heart attack or stoke could end it all in an instant. I honestly wish him the best of health. America and the world needs to see video of him losing his office, losing his money, losing his freedom.

Mueller is coming (this of course INCLUDES anything that any office he pawned stuff off on finds, as I have stated many times before).

Pelosi's answer regarding Trump that "he's not worth it" is weird and perhaps her failed attempt at belittling him, but she doesn't share that opinion with the majority of House Democrats.

Here's what the Chairman of the House Budget Committee said about impeaching Trump - "To me it's not a question of 'whether,' it's a question of 'when,' and probably right now is not the right time, but I think at some point it's going to be inevitable," Rep. John Yarmuth.

I agree with him. We need to see the Mueller Report at a minimum first (unless some other crazy thing happens before then) before impeachment proceedings begin.

I don't know how conniving Pelosi is, but her comments today allow her to later on say, "I have been against impeaching the President all the way up until now. Now, when we see what the Special Counsel has discovered, we have a duty to hold this President accountable." A reporter then will say, "Back on March 11, you said, "he's not worth it". How do you respond?" Shen will then say something like, "The American people are worth it." What benefit does Pelosi or the Democrats get by her being so against impeachment now? Independents and moderate conservatives will look at that and come to the conclusion that the Democrats weren't just out for blood the entire time...helps them get behind an impeachment process.

This whole "excuses" thing is weird. I NEVER do that, and you can't find evidence that I have.

I will not say anything of the sort like you just asserted. The House will either impeach Trump or it won't. I say it will with the caveats that I have long supplied -- unless he dies first, unless there is criminal activity (DISCOVERED) that prevents it, or unless aliens from space prevent it.

1) You are correct that Trumpers here are counting their chickens before they've hatched. Not a good idea.

2) Apparently I didn't say it enough in that other NOW DELETED thread, because I never said "100% guarantee." I don't typically use the word "guarantee" because that normally means putting something up against it, and I don't do such things (I don't bet because that is low class). What I DID say in that now deleted thread (if I wanted to lie, I could because it doesn't exist anymore) was that Trump had "ZERO chance" to win. Now, what I also said at least twice in that other thread was that it was conditional...that there not be any cheating and that aliens from space didn't make it so. I even used the example of Olympic Gold medalists being stripped of their victories if found to have cheated. So, once conspiracy with Russia from anyone in his campaign staff or anyone working with him is proven, I will be RIGHT about the 2016 election...actually, I am right now, but I will be PROVEN right when conspiracy is shown.

3) To be clear about my position, I do not KNOW what's in Mueller's report, and I do not pretend to know. I am simply making a prediction on what is to happen to Trump based on what we all do know at this point due to court filings and his behavior. My prediction will either be right or wrong.

4) I agree that Pelosi doesn't know what will be in the report.

5) You are correct that we don't know anything about impeachment due to Pelosi's statement.
