Beto’s been in politics since 2005, startinf on the El Paso City Council, and was a 3 term House Rep. So 14 yrs.

Obama was in politics starting in ‘97 with the state senate, then a half-term Senator. So 11 yrs.

Clinton was Governor from 79-81, then 83-92. So 11 yrs.

Heck, Reagan was only Governor for 8 years then got beat in the ‘76 primary before winning in ‘80.

Hence the push and party love affair with Beto.

Ya, I guess I'm full of poop. I did run a 5k this morning and placed 7th in my master's age group, 26:11, that's a pr for me.

And I guess I sounded kinda stupid calling a 10 mile run a "long run". I guess that was the dead giveaway of me being a hobby jogger and a troll loser. Sorry IP checker, I've been a really insecure person my whole life.

I hope Beto runs too - I think he would be the best bet to win back PA, WI, MI. Although Bernie is weirdly strong in MI - he bet HRC there despite polling weaker than her. The biggest surprise of the dem primary.

I'd just add two things about experience - being a legislator really isn't much practice to be president. Which sort of flattens things out...personally I wouldn't expect a 3 term US senator to be a whole lot more prepared than a 6 year Rep. Governors have the best experience obviously.

Few people know this - Beto started a successful tech company in El Paso - he has that good blend of private and public sector experience that can work. I think he will stand up and say 'yes I am a capitalist' but who knows with these crazy activists.

(finally, not well known, but Reagan ran in 68 and 76 before winning in 80)

Do you have a link to an article about HRC hitting on young interns? I didn't especially like Hillary so I can't say I'm pissed off. I figured that they were both such bad candidates that the losing party would be trading four years for eight as neither would be likely to be reelected. The story about the parties are believable to me, but yes, it's possible the writer made it up. My point, though, is that even if the wives were invited, he spent lavishly to entertain his friends. To think he has some relationship with the owner of a massage parlour to service his friends is ridiculous.

People will make accusations against Hillary that might be overly biased. I have no interest in reading about Travelgate to see if the other poster's interpretation is fair or not. I don't like Trump, but there has never been a person like him in the history of mankind and I would rather discuss him than Hillary or Obama.
