Someone had to start a thread. Anyone else watching this super intense Men's 20k Racewalk???????(I'm actually not since its not on Peacock.)Anyway, should be an exciting day with 1500s and Steeples later. Watching out for Mikey Brannigan in the Para 1500 too, you never know when he'll run a faster time than the regular mens 1500 ;)

The other option is to take it from 1k or 800m out and drive home like El G in Athens. I don’t understand why Jingy and Yared don’t try this approach.

No way. Just rewatched the race and Kessler is on Nuguse’s shoulder, he isn’t really prevented from going as fast as he can at any point. He just wasn’t moving nearly as quick as Hocker the last 50 meters. That was not a loss due to last-lap tactics.

Looks like it. My guess is that the blister on her heel from her race in PDX two weeks ago was bothering her, and they knew she couldn't run sub 9:20, so they decided not to risk further injury and DNS'd. Would've been better if they had done that a couple days ago so someone else could've run the final.
