Here they are quite explicit in the instructions - waterproof not wind proof or water resistant with most races giving specs on how water repellent the jacket must be. Houdini wouldn’t cut it. I have a Bonatti Race jacket which is quite light and rolls up small and an OR one I got on sale that is a better quality jacket I use every day when it’s wet. Was considering getting the Salomon goretex shake dry jacket just because it looked nice lol but it’s like $350 here which nah too much.

The best combo for that kind of carry (PP) would be like a naked belt with a collapsed flask and jacket in the back and your number attached to the front toggles. Better than flask in hand. Putting the weight on the waist makes it less noticeable (if you’re not going for the vest which probably distributes the weight the best but weighs 5 grams more so no go)

He's gearing up to make jacket or water bottle the reason he bows out of Pikes Peak. hahahhaha. His main job is looking for excuses for why he fails.

The real question is, how much KT tape does this man buy? Every video now, both sides of both calves.

I went to PT once and they used KT tape. They wrapped my ankle/foot in a way that would make it function completely differently. It changed its mobility, cause it snaked around my foot, causing it to absorb forces differently. They said to leave it on for 2-3 days.

Seth just applies it like a racing stripe, straight up his calf, while half asleep in the morning - what does he think that is even accomplishing?

The answer is...0....because he is now sponsored by them. Homeboy is just slapping it on as product placement to earn some $$.

Never criticize his wife, that woman is a saint. I dont know how she put's up with everything being filmed all day, everyday. Must be like being an extra in the Truman show, the shot of the family watching the hockey the other day was jarring, and that probably happens every evening in the hope of something interesting happening for content. The look he gives her when she interrupts him and his constant interruptions when she's speaking. She clearly does all the parenting and probably spends most of the day cleaning up after him, dirty KT tape stuck to the carpet, egg stains in all his clothes. Not to mention their religious views that require her to breed constantly and forbid divorce, she could do so much better...

It does remind me of the Truman show sometimes. He must have cameras placed in every single cupboard. You probably can' t even take a crap in that house without being filmed, just in case something interesting happens that he can milk for content.

Fair points. I guess I'll walk it back and say "never say never" but I wouldn't think of having it for a supported or semi-supported race in the summer over something more packable and lighter.

Granted, the race is bumped to September this year and those few weeks later can make a difference on a 14er.

Training Strategy for Pike's Peak - spend time at altitude (above 12,000 ft.).

Slow jog up mountain, followed by resting and "working" (looking at phone) at 14,000 ft.

Does he ever actually interact with the people in his comments section? All I see is the 'comment of the day' and maybe a random emoji or two. I get that he probably can't reply to every comment but other YouTubers do a much better job of picking out some interesting comments each video (even critical ones) and replying thoughtfully.
