If they are the best candidate then sure, but I think there are enough old voters out there, even old democratic voters, who would stay home just because a woman or African American is at the top of the ticket.

Personally I’m all for it. I’m just thinking in terms of mass appeal. Obama was a special case because he sounded “white enough” for many old codgers and was able to energize a lot of people who don’t usually vote because he was “the first”.

But that's not a guarantee. Just a guess for fun.

If July 1 hits and Trump is still president, I'm out of the guessing game.

No I have not noticed that at all, nor do I think Flagpole "has begun to grasp that Trump will serve out his first term."

Now, personally, I think it's likely Trump will be re-elected (I'm 50/50 on it right now but we'll see). There have been many versions of people like you over the years (DiscoGary. DFF, and probably a dozen or so different handles from the most pathetic LRC loser ever to exist : jamin) but Flagpole has, to his credit, doubled down on this prediction multiple times at this point and has been mostly consistent for the past like, I don't know, 18 months or so?

Will he be correct? I don't think so. But I'll be here to witness it one way or the other.
