Rojo says he might start a Kip Litton thread but only 1 and only 1 thread

Do you have any clue how many threads have been on these boards over the years about people who have cheated - intentionally, and (some claim) unintentionally?

Be it missing a turn, skipping a dog-leg turn, whatever, once these people fess up and remove themselves from results, the thread dies.

Sure, sometimes they deny malicious intent and sometimes that denial strains belief, but if they pull the result, the thread dies. People move on. I have way better things to do with my life than worry about cheaters.

But Kip keeps this thread alive by denying the cheating. If he'd fess up, the thread would die. If he takes Rojo up on the offer in the second Kip thread, and runs for some easy money if he really is capable of the times he claims, there will be a lot of post race discussion, but then the thread will die.

So many ways to end the thread.

Denying the cheating, defending the West Wyoming Marathon, and defending beyond-the-pale results as factual... this keeps the thread alive.

To end the thread, Kip: tell us all about how you pulled off Boston. Heck, I'd chip in on crowdfund to the charity of your choice if you'd sit down for a discussion of how you did it.

Since the second kip Litton thread of 700 posts and an offer from Rojo of $2500 and CH of about $1000 or bit more was deleted without explanation from Rojo or letsrun mods, I guess we'll continue our discussion here. What I want to know is - can Kip ever break 3 hours? Has he ever broken 3 hours before in the past?

The 2nd Kip Litton thread was started by Rojo. Not sure why the mod's deleted a thread started by a founder? Can you please post the contents in this thread?

I'll do better than that- I'll sum it all up in one post.

Many of the same old tired circumstantial accusations were repeated by people who have never even met Kip, using absurd issues like gear, hats, shoes, sweat and gun/chip times.

These were easily refuted by people who actually know Kip and were with him at the races like his family, friends and other runners. We also learned that Mr Singer intentionally avoided talking to those who would have cleared Kip, as it would have destroyed his tale.

Predictably, every post in support of Kip was immediately but incorrectly attributed to be from Kip. And the farce goes on.....

Solid job defending yourself Kip! Keep it up.

If the 2nd thread was deleted, how do we know that this one wont also be deleted? Victory for KIP and the reputation dot com service.

Then who are you? Every such post, no matter what name is given, says almost exactly word for word the same thing using exactly the same style. If you are not Kip, who are you?

That is probably highly accurate. But it's very possible that Kip Litton may have impersonated this Dan Baxley character when he wrote to SOKLR or maybe the Baxley guy is looking to get a large cut of the $50,000 offer Baxley (Kip) put on the table for a sub 3:30 marathon. Rojo has no doubt that Kip cheated but I am not sure if Rojo has been following the Kip Litton story close enough to actually realize that Kip CAN actually jog and therefore 3:30 is probably within Kip's grasp. The difference is that for a supposedly legitimate 2:47 marathoner at Missoula in 2010 (at over 3000ft altitude), a 3:30 marathon should require almost zero training. But since Kip's legitimate fitness back in his cheating years was probably only like a 20min 5k and maybe a 43min 10k, a legitimate sub 3:30 marathon for him will require a bit of work.

If you take a random guy on the street and he cheats by jumping in the race and crossing the line in sub 3 hours (or even 3:30), it will be very obvious that he cheated given that his BMI is 27plus. But you take a cheater like Litton who can legitimately run like 20mins for 5k and it's not quite as obvious (at least at first) that he cheated.

Correction - it is probably highly accurate that Dan Baxley character's lips can be found in the aforementioned location

Ummm...of course it's highly probably. He allegedly impersonated others as well. If the guy actually exists and he's a "normal thinking person" who can use logic, why would he put his name out there to defend someone who he has to know cheated? He wouldn't. Unless Dan Baxley exists, comes forward himself with proof (not the stupid trolls who will respond to this), then of course he more than likely doesn't exist. Cut of the $50,000? How old are you? The guy is staying out of the spotlight for as long as possible as it's to early to run a race like that while the iron is still hot.
