Sounds like the most likely innocent explanation for Kushner's hotline is that the trump team wanted to be able to try out ideas with the Russians without the Obama admin knowing.

No one has yet mentioned that the senate investigation just requested documents from the Trump campaign from the start to the end. Which sounds to me like a big deal.

My guess is, we'll come to find out that a huge source of Trump and Kushner's financing are Russian oligarchs. Not to mention the fact they buy and hold these luxury condos as a store of value.
