Can KT Tuohy frontrun her way to a 1500 Championship? And then Double back for a 5k Title?

Barnett makes sense getting heeled from behind and ending last but Plourde? Wow..

Can anyone recap the race? Was looking at the splits, how did they overtake Tuohy. Gonna watch a little later. And Barnett, Plourde?

Barnett got tripped up a bit at 1000 I think and plourde just disappeared on final lap not sure if anything happened

Tuohy looked ok at 30 min but by 60 she was swallowed up

Katelyn had a really bad start and had to work up from dead last. Barnett had the lead with Katelyn second but she got clipped and was out of it. Pourde moved up and then faded. Sullivan was on the rail and in good position. Katelyn was impeded on the last lap. Five runners approached the line and there was a big gap to sixth, so all five had it. Sullivan kicked again to finish first.

Re-watching the race it is VERY obvious that O’Sullivan stepped on Barnett’s heel, causing Barnett to stumble, then get shoved to the side from O’Sullivan and fall back and ultimately completely out of it.

Plourde made a strong push, was in it and when the pace finally got decent in that final lap, she didn’t have the gas and gave up.

Tuohy has no chance against O'Sullivan in a 4:09 type race.

Investigated the blatant attack on mia Barnett.

Agree, but one possible thing in Tuohy's favor is that perhaps she's better suited to follow up a 4:09 with another fast time two days later? Sometime the runner with more of the long-distance background can handle multiple fast rounds better. If they're 3:05 at the bell again on Saturday maybe she's got more left in the tank. Probably not though. I'll admit I don't have a ton of confidence in Tuohy winning after seeing today's semifinal.

That race had no bearing on Tuohy other than pissing her off. She won’t do anything in the final but ran flat-out fast from the gun now. She’s not going to through any of that again.

She was right next to Barnett when O’Sullivan steamrolled her way through by stepping on Barnett and shoving her to the side.

No real effect on Tuohy other than pissing her off.

It just shows she needs to hit the bell in 3:00 if she wants to win.

Andy Powell and vin are close friends. These guys know what their doing. They’ve been thugs for years.

Tuohy got impeded also later on. She just needs to take it out fast and not worry about the 5000m. Get to the final lap around 3:00 and see what happens.
