The primary problem with the 4x1 is that we charity programmed it. We thought we could keep a guy (3rd leg) involved when we for sure had two better options (Bromell and Bednarek). Lyle's was not impressive on the back stretch.
The order should have been coleman-bednarek-bromell-lyles. Of course Kerley in for Bednarek if he had been healthy.
Happy for Canada. That's a great time. Almost a s cond faster than their time yesterday. Idk how that happened. Glad we learned that we can't sleepwalk through it.

Forget about exchanges. Bracy was ahead of DeGrasse after the exchange and he lost. End of story. He's not a slower 100m runner than DeGrasse, it was all about grit & maybe some luck. Canada wanted it more.

Why would you not put the best turn runner in the world, Lyles, on the 3rd leg?

Not really. Bracy left early and then managed to get torqued around when he finally got the baton. One of the weirder things I've ever seen. Hall made up no ground at all on DeGrasse. Bracy effed up, not Hall.
NBC. Told you Hassan had no chance. If you want me to commentate, you can reach me at 844-LETSRUN
Robert, I know you want to commentate so badly because of your passion for the sport but take it seriously and PRACTICE. Put in the effort to strengthen your voice, slow down your cadence; articulate; use your podcast platform to master the craft and become more Professional. You know your weaknesses. Work on them daily.
Is he serious about wanting to commentate? He spent a whole podcast calling Jakob Ingebrigtsen Karsten Warholm, and he still can't pronounce Shalane Flanagan's name. It's just laziness. No one is going to pay him to butcher the names of athletes for a whole broadcast. I really like how much he loves the sport but I wouldn't risk putting him on the mic for any serious broadcast

I never blamed Hall I just observed how he ended up, and that that connection needed to be addressed. Ato identified the problem as Hall not staying left and Bracy not staying right, so they ran out of space to adjust. This should have been addressed on the relay camp.
In any case my main point is that it was obvious in the semis, and it looks like it was glossed over by the USA camp. At least they kept the stick in play, but C-/D+ at best from me.
