Can you guys imagine if Seth stepped down to mainly road 10km - Marathon and let Coach JS run his training? LRC would implode. I’m sure JS would be down for it, he will do anything for publicity, and to be honest if there was actually anybody who may succeed from his training it’d be Seth.
The durometer test seems like a waste of time. Sure you can see how hard the soles are, but what is this number actually telling the viewer? Unless it’s shown on a sliding scale comparing the soles to different household items/shoes, it’s just an arbitrary number to most.
Do people really care that much about running shoes? Like are the average viewers seriously gooning over an elite runner telling them about stack height and upper material? They’re running shoes. You’re better off going to a store and trying them on.

I may get some heat in this message board, but Seth is strongly catholic, right? His "one billion stories" thing he did with the church prior to his vlog is evidence of that. I've found that a lot of very religious people are emotionally stunted people. It's like their personal development just gets capped at a certain point and they never go any further. Seth seems to have this. The total lack of self awareness - the lack of ability to view his life the way a complete stranger would. If you surround yourself with people who do nothing but support your every move, you never get any honest criticism, and it holds you back in life. Seth is deleting critical comments on his vlog, it seems his approach to his life is to simply shut out everything that makes him feel uncomfortable, which is a sign of lack of maturity. Then again, when you are utterly exhausted 24/7, neglecting your family and other parts of life, how can you really expect Seth to grow as a person?

Explanation: This year they're requiring runners to have a wind/waterproof jacket and to carry their own water at this year's Pike's Peak. That's part of Seth's video today. In the comments, someone was talking about the water, and I mentioned that from Seth's words, it sounds like he's just going to skirt the rules and try to carry and empty flask. Which he then actually confirmed, so I jokingly left another comment saying "Nailed it."
The thing is, I happened to switch accounts (I have my throwaway that I use for commenting, and my real account with my name that I don't comment with) and I noticed that I couldn't see the first comment from my other account anymore. So I went back and made the edit you see in the picture so that maybe someone from DGR might see the light, but of course I checked later and that comment was gone too. I can still see both comments from the account I made them with, but when I switch to my other account, they're both hidden. Looks like Seth shadowbanned my one account.
Honestly, I'm going to reach out to the race director and try to clarify if you're allowed to carry an empty flask, and if not I'm going to make sure they know Seth's plan. I'm gonna get the MF DQ'd if he tries to cheat.

"Discernment" has a very specific meaning in Christian (and particularly Catholic) contexts, and he's trying to apply it in other situations & vernacular. It's less "trying to figure out what to do / make a decision" and more "trying to figure out what God wants you to do / what decision God wants you to make."
I'm not saying he's using it correctly or that it makes sense that he is trying to shoehorn that definition into the other contexts. But when your realize where he pulled the word from, it should actually help explain wacky his thinking is. I'm not sure if 1) his viewers have any idea of this, or 2) they do and this is some dog whistle he's blowing for them.
