My reasons for opposing Trump don’t have to rely at all on MSM “smears” or things Dems say. I see him and hear him. That’s enough. If it weren’t, it’s easy enough to find lots more:
— his current running mate referred to him as an “opioid” (privately) and compared him to Hitler (reportedly, publicly).
— his attorney general said that he is “off the rails,” he committed a “grave wrongdoing” on J6, and he claimed fraud even though he “knew well that he lost the election.”
— the GOP Senate majority leader called him responsible for the chaos and violence of J6.
— his nat sec advisor says, “Trump can’t tell the difference between what’s true and what’s false. It’s not that he lies a lot because to lie, you have to do it consciously. He just can’t tell the difference. So he makes up what he wants to say at any given time…”
— and there is no shortage of statements from many, many people who served in his administration that he is unfit in various ways. And many, many Republicans who have a history of being critical of Dems but supportive of fellow Republicans.
That’s all from people who know him better than you, I, any Lefty on this board, or the media do.

I think no tax on tips would be great - not only for restaurant workers, but others like lawyers, consultants, bankers, etc who provide services, especially in high tax blue states (I live outside of nyc) could have their compensation shifted to "tip" form which would make the overall tax burden much lower

If I hear people say something, then look for multiple perspectives and draw my own conclusions rationally — sometimes other people will access the same info and draw the same conclusions. Often those will be people I have more respect for, but sometimes less. The fact that they also hold the idea does not change its soundness.
