Describe Your Running Today, Part II

AM: catski for 21:36. Overcast, damp, calm, serene conditions.

sorry for the confusion, Bushy.....the 'flat' was the terrain of the course, not the bike....I gots to learn me more better English....back at it today for 60'....weather back to overcast and humid.....slight headwind on the 'back'....med ball routine and stretching....traveling this weekend, so may not get at it again until Tuesday...

Have a good weekend... LOL O2; methinks a reading and comprehension upgrade should be a future goal on this end.

Weather here has gone south with the mercury. Tried to run this afternoon. No way; the catskiis trashed too much anterior musculature to let that happen. RnR again. Oh, well.

MTB yesterday and today. Roughly an hour and a half each time. Cool but dry, with blustery winds. The woods was the place to be.. Daughter #1 has been picking this up pretty well. The Bride is still at the speed where it just doesn't flow..... not enough speed or propulsion to get stabled out.

ran 90' along Gage Canal in Riverside even though I felt signs of ITBS a couple days ago. felt surprisingly well, so i tempoed 45' worth. very uplifting. nice cool weather.

I'm still recovering from ankle surgery. I did the elliptical for 30 minutes (at level 11) and road the bike for 20minutes (at level 9).

enjoyed a nice 4 day break....on the road to visit daughter #2....good times....today felt a need to "make up" for missed time....so did the 70' run....felt pretty good though still a bit of Achilles soreness....followed up with a med ball routine and stretching....good to be back...

3.5 miles on a usual route with the dog. Easy, because that's all the legs said they wanted. Blustery N wind; around 45F. Clear and brisk; the harbinger of cooler times to come.

awoke to rain, but soon turned to sunny and humid...hit the road as the clouds returned...legs a bit weary, so decided on 50'...threw in some utility pole pickups on the back...tempted to take a dip, but passed...a good day...

AM: 10 miles@6:30

PM: 12x200@.28-.30 w/200 job recovery

AM; Ran 10K with the dog. 56xx min. The pummeling wind that infested these parts for days finally left. Sunny and calm and 28F made for pleasant conditions.

PM: Low 50's prompted me to hop on the road bike for 12 quick miles. Primo day weatherwise.

some nice weather in these parts too....did the 60' run today in 60'....plus a few seconds....only a few....felt exceptionally smooth and relaxed....just one of "those" runs...med ball routine and stretching followed....did a shortish bike ride with the bride this PM....about 7 miles interrupted by some walking at the village destination....had a nice get together last night with some former teammates and coaches....decades later, but it seemed like yesterday....good memories...

Yesterday; 54 F, clear and sunny. Relaxed 4 miles around the block. Corn harvest in full swing.

No watch, no rush, just strides..... loose and flowing.

Today; 38 mile Tandem ride on the Bearskin trail with the Bride.

With 9 miles left in the till, we chanced across an old friend and training partner. As you said...good memories....years later, but it seemed like yesterday.

AM; Grey skies,45F on a 10MPH NW wind. Took the Border Collie for his morning jog...30 minutes of him following his nose and ears. Like his master, the eyes aren't getting any better. Came back refreshed.

another short bike ride on Sunday with the bride...day off Monday...moved some furniture around a pair of tough corners and down a narrow stairway...awoke today with a bit of a stiff back....took a pill and hit the road...a bit of a gusty breeze with nice temps and beautiful sunshine....took it easy and stopped at 41'....passed on the med ball work...have some more furniture to move today....looking forward to a rest day tomorrow...

Furniture moving on your end... interior painting in this corner. Got to keep the "Honey do" list on the front burner.

AM; Left the dog home. 68 minutes on the north road. Bridge is out, so turned around at the Rib and headed back home. Routine pace @9:30-10:00/mile. Temps mid 40's and overcast skies.

Solo AM run of 4 miles plus 4x30 second hill climb embeddded at 3 mile mark. 50 minutes all total.

Crossed paths with a mature Timber Wolf (Canis lupus) adjacent to the brook and our neighbors driveway. It was a Story book moment as only 20 yds. separated us. The loose lope and relaxed flow of the creatures forward progress reflected no concern for a humans presence.

Ran about 6 miles. Sprinkled a bit...in Chicago. Best of all............I saw THE WALKING DUDE!!!! It's a ChiTown thing, but I haven't seen him in almost 8 years. Gray hair now, so I didn't recognize him immediately. I did a triple take, yelled "WALKING DUDE!", then ran into a parked car. Awesome.
