Lol. I'm just laughing at the scenario in general. It should be embarrassing for him, since that stuff is collected and given to the less fortunate. And Seth is plenty fortunate and does not need it, he gets plenty of free stuff, so it's in pretty poor taste for him to go picking through there. But we all know he has no shame. He's pretty absent minded and selfish. But let's not get all offended that he "stole" someone's jacket. You all know when you discard articles of clothing during a race, it's gone, you're giving it up. Just laugh about him being dumb and move on. At this point, he's a runaway train. You'll only stress yourself out being upset about him.
It's satisfying that Seth did well and proved you all wrong. Now all you toxic a$$hats can do is nitpick over him picking up a discarded jacket. LOL at all you children. This forum is a $hitshow. You guys are obsessed with a dude you hate. Cool. Sounds healthy.
On what basis is the most prolific and possibly popular running based YT channel not up for a critique of a particular running goal he set on a running forum?

Ummmmm...Seth was going for the OTQ standard. He didn't get that. In fact, he missed it by a pretty big margin. The vast majority of posters bet that he would NOT get the standard and we were proven correct...again! Nice PR run for Seth and he ran a smarter race that most of us thought he would. That's progress for him.
Snagging a discarded jacket that was meant for charity before it could be picked up by the charity? Poor form. Especially for someone that lives in a large and costly home plus gets all manner of free gear from manufacturer's. Even worse? He just had to turn it into content with bonus smugness ("Dumpster diving! Dumpster diving!"). I hope that he left behind a another item or two in exchange so that refugees or the poor don't suffer because of his little nostalgia trip.
Defending that behavior and ranting at LRC while ignoring facts about Seth's stated goals is the childish behavior on display here. Run back to the DGR FB group, Discord, or YT comments so that you can post another "Let's GO! Turn the Knob! Get some Andy's!" platitudes. It is abundantly clear where the running experts reside.

I mean basically it's like Seth said he was going to California, tells everyone he is going to California, pretends to plan a trip to California, then flies to Singapore instead. Singapore is great, don't get me wrong. Yeah he's never been there, it's so cool. But the goal was California.
More like, “Boys! Do you want to go somewhere fun? Here’s a hint-a really big mouse lives there.”.
The DeMoor boys start shrieking with excitement and chant, “Disneyland! Disneyland!”.
Seth packs them into the car and then pulls up at Chuck E. Cheese. The kids look confused and curious. Seth then tried to sell them, “Isn’t this great? This is so much better than Disneyland! You kids are soooo lucky! Pizza and arcade games are more fun than Star Wars rides! Turn that knob and let’s go!”.

There's a lot of content to go over with daily 38mile slow runs etc. so the threads get long. Nothing overtly odd about it. Factor in stans saying you guys are obsessed and it pads it out further.
Personally I think its weirder that stans support him prefixing praise with "DGR" or only Seth approved catchphrases. With 'DGR' - it's kind of gross making your supporters say your name like that. Narcissistic? Anyway thread comments about the cultish behaviour get proven within the comment section of anything he does. No criticism. Only worship whatever the result.
Seth: Here is my 36 miles at 9min pace.
Stans: Butter my bread o lord.
