NY Times reports Alberto Salazar was banned by SafeSport for allegedly sexually assaulting an athlete twice while giving massage

I doubt anyone would remain and make these anonymous reports.

Men need to keep their DISTANCE from women as false allegations can destroy a man’s career or reputation. I sure hope Alberto is not paying the price for Kara’s father being killed by a drunk driver when she was 4. Alberto is a jerk and so he doesn’t seem to get the benefit of the doubt. He can blame himself I guess.

I’m glad to finally know what really happened. I am a male and would not touch a female athlete, any age, especially above the knee or anywhere near the front torso area. Heck, my office training has me afraid to comment on a woman’s looks or clothing, out of fear it could be misconstrued.

A) Alberto never should have massaged any of his athletes and put himself in this position

B) If he really is a sexual predator, then there should be more victims than just Kara

C) If I were Adam and wasn't told about this when it happened, I would be questioning a lot of things about my marriage

Kara was ABOVE THE AGE OF CONSENT, so how is any of this even punishable?

What did Kara consent to and what happened? If Kara consented to a massage that does not necessarily mean she consented to a massage of every part and orifice of her anatomy. Why she continued to consent to massages from Alberto after the alleged first incident does seem odd.

Kara claims she initially thought “there is no way he is touching me like that, I’m IMAGINING this, he’s just a bad masseuse.” Then Kara continues getting massages from Alberto.
There is no chance Alberto would be convicted in a court of law. This is not to say Alberto did nothing wrong. But no chance of a conviction.

Convictions are frequently made on such evidence, on the believability of the complainant against the accused. There is rarely conclusive independent evidence, for obvious reasons.

there is a large gap in the amount of evidence against this guy vs the amount against Alberto.

It is the same kind of evidence. Allegations of abuse. Salazar did not persuade SafeSport the allegations against him were false.
