You can't compare yourself, a man with Mu, a woman even if you both have the same 400 speed. Men and women have different physiologies. Women haven't got the physical strength (T) and high VO2 that enables men to run closer to their 400 speed for two laps.
Apparently not, but why?
One event to another is comparable at other distances.
A man that can run 11 flat at 100 can run 22 flat-ish at 200. Similar for a woman.
Alyson Felix runs 10.9, 21.7, 49.3. That's about what a man would run for the three events. Maybe a little slow for 400m.
You see women running 800/1500 of 1:57/3:59. I think that's comparable, but the 800 ,ay be weaker.
Shannon Rowbury 1500/500 at 3:56/14:38. Comparable to what guys do at that range. But her 800is only 1:59.
The 5000/10000 times line up with men as well.
There seems to be something so specific to the 800 that women can't maintain anywhere near their 400 PR pace but men can.
Again, my 400 PR is similar to hers and I've gone out in 51 (not too successfully) but usually 53.
Why is it so impossible for her to go out in 55/56 with the right training?
Going out in 56 was so easy to me. I am not asking for 1:49 from her. But 1:53.0 seems to be within reach.
