A late night 40 miute run (11.40pm start). A leisurely trot with headlamp around town finished with a few brisk laps on the football oval.Lots of eyes reflectingin the light of the lamp, lots of thumping noises as various creatures move aside.
Yesterday 2 laps of Wildflower Circuit (hilly 6.5k trail) before work, first in 32, second in 30. No shirt, hot running at mid-day.
Saturday, kyak for 40 minutes then off to work. Ran 5k on the inside of the velodrome, barefoot, striding 100m every lap.
Thursday. A tough session (for a fat old lazy coot like me). 1.2km warmup (6.10) then 5.6km tempo on rolling dirt rd (23.50), then straight up the Viewing Rock track (7mins rugged climb) and easy jog down (5mins) then straight into a solid 1.6km (6.40), jogged 800m (4.00),then 400m (85s) then jogged 800m (4.00).
Wed. A solid hour of rough terrain mtn bike riding , blew the front (disc) brake 1/2 way, a bit of heart thumping return off the ridge with only rear brakes!!
Tue. Kyak for an hour. First paddle since our region's catastrophic flooding (Not as newsworthy as the QLd floods).The lake was back to 108%, got up to 125% and took out the emergency spillway. My cousins property 70kms downstream on the Campaspe was covered by 1.5 -2 metres of water. Evening 10k bush run then a 3km track race, 11.56 (4.03, 3.58, 3.55) and a km warmdown.
Mon. A strong hour session on the mtn bike up the rugged McIvor. Much faster than recent rides because of the rain affected ground. I did the usual hour course in just 53mins so finished with a few flat out laps of the 1.2km loop around the block.
