to play devil's advocate, the evangelicals say that trump is a moral upstanding man because his policies are so good. Character doesn't matter at the personal level, if you are getting jobs for people, taking away health care, increasing the deficits, etc. These are all GOP priorities and trump gets them done.

1) Hillary Clinton was a flawed candidate. No one here has said otherwise. That is PART of the reason that she lost the election, but not the ONLY reason.

2) Hillary was though, without question, the most qualified person to be President from the 2016 field. Doesn't mean she didn't also have some negatives, but she was the most qualified.

3) No one here regularly posting about how bad Trump is is upset about the election. Acceptance of bad things for mentally healthy people comes quickly. We are just vehemently against Trump, and that comes from all the stuff we have learned SINCE THE ELECTION. We have learned just from what is public information how big of a criminal he is. We suspected that perhaps he was before the election, and we knew he was involved in many kinds of fraud that he was able to pay his way out of (Trump University for example), but we did not know the depth and breadth of his criminality. We did not know that he would be so openly racist. We did not know that he would refuse to read anything, refuse to study issues, refuse to work a full work day, watch television almost 24/7, golf much more than any other President, commit FELONY Campaign Finance Law violations, obstruct justice, show that he believes the DOJ is there to serve him, not the country, surround himself with so many criminals including Felix Sater, a former Russian mobster, praise murderous dictators around the world, and tell bald-faced lies at a clip that was not even fathomable. That's not even close to all of it.

He's a serial liar. He's a criminal. He's incompetent to levels never before even remotely approached.

And...

2. HRClinton has been under tremendous scrutiny for ~30 years. During the 2016 campaign Politifact (

) *documented* six times as many lies by Trump as by *both* Clintons, while paying close attention to both campaigns.

But the bigger point about lies is not those told during a campaign, but those told in office--and that's *thousands* in the case of DJTrump.

BTW I've been a voter for decades and never yet checked the Democratic box for any office--but I do have an interest in honesty and competence in government.

but yeah in general I think the ACA had the right idea - make everyone buy health insurance, and subsidize the poor. Create a giant, giant private insurance pool.

-- Auto Insurance -- don't have it, don't get to drive

-- Mortgage Insurance -- don't have, don't get a loan.

And claiming that Trump is upholding moral values suggests that you're on LSD. I don't think this website has enough bandwidth to list all examples of Trump's sleaziness. Off the top of my head, sleeping with a porn star who was not his wife a month after his wife had their child; serial molestation and sexual assaults of women; a seeming inability to tell the truth or an inability to understand the difference between the truth and a lie; what sure appears to be criminal behavior in violating federal election law ( a felony, I believe).

These are the qualifications to be POTUS:

1) Natural born citizen

2) At least 35 years old

3) At least 14 years as resident of US

4) Not previously elected POTUS more than once

5) Not previously elected POTUS once while also having served for more than 2 years as POTUS during a term to which some other person was elected POTUS

Candidate must satisfy ALL of the above.

So please stop all this nonsense about HRC being MORE qualified than anyone else. She was EQUALLY qualified as everyone else in the race.
