Running alone and drinking alone can have that same sobering quality which helps to think and to visualize. There were some marathoners lingering about but most had obviously taken the opportunity of the chilly air to make it home a little earlier.
I am sorry to hear about the foot. I went for short runs myself while busy in New York and watched the marathon on LR as i was busy sunday as well.
I am conserving my energies for the winter to come. I want to ease into the change in temps, climate, daylight, so as to make seasonal adjusting a little more ergonomic.
