True, but it also has to be considered that Kessler’s swinging out puts Hocker in a worse position, and that Kessler probably loses some time from overstraining when he is in a desperate, unsalvageable position. 0.75 seconds is a lot like you said but I still don’t think it’s entirely unrealistic. Regardless, the fact that Hocker could have missed the team without a disaster happening and with not abysmal tactics kinda has me questioning how first he managed to run 3:27 for Olympic gold, and second how he is going to be able to contend in Tokyo.
