This always makes me wonder what Salazar’s 2:08:13* or his two 2:09s in NYC 9 (in other words before his decline) would have been worth with pacesetters, super shoes, and a flat, fast course.

Right. Gidey may also just be more confident with her own finishing speed, which has gotten better. And tired of being used as the pacesetter.
