Another douche who thinks it's OK to take things that don't belong to him ^^
That’s not taking something that doesn’t belong to you. It’s like if you set trash out on your street and someone comes by and takes it, that’s not stealing

I agree it's not stealing per se. But probably, like in countless other races, those clothes were going to homeless people or other people in need. In any case, they didn't belong to Seth. Maybe the original owner even came back looking for the jacket.
It's not because it's Seth. It's because you just don't do that.
I am not sure what to make of this. I woke up excited and eager to check the result. 2:22! That is pretty good, a time I would like to run. Haven’t had a chance to check the full results to see the groupings. I know running “in a pack” was discussed as a reason for going overseas. However later today, I realized that the winner of the Carmel, Indiana marathon ran 2:20 yesterday. Carmel is a good local race, but by no means a fast course. So I wonder if the big rub with myself and others is the whole expectation vs. reality discussion. Could have enjoyed a nice race yesterday at Carmel and either won or been pushed to run the same time, maybe even slightly quicker. Then been home for Sunday dinner. Either way, I think I need to move on. Too many ups and downs following someone else’s journey. I have enjoyed the discussion here and have received good, challenging feedback to some of my earlier thoughts.
Bunch of jealous folks on this blog from what I see
I do there is some jealousy, but it's more frustration that he's wasting his talent than just general haters gonna hate.
Dude has an incredible amount of talent - yet hit pisses it away by training like a moron. His willful ignorance on proper training is just the strangest thing, especially since he's obviously working on setting up his coaching business.
oh well, GREAT JOB, DGR!!! Missed your goal by a big margin, but yayyyyyyyy PR!
It's a good result, but in the grand scheme of things it's nothing. I recently ran the Manchester marathon and take a look at some of the times there - winner ran 2:10. Lots of club runners with full time jobs ran in the 2:15-2:30 zone. It's just not a big deal. Some people are saying he is really talented but he isn't really. There are a significant number of faster runners in my local area alone.

Just think—all those faster runners could improve by a whole minute over the course of 2 years if they followed the training advice of coach SJD
I hope I don't get down voted by DGR Warriors, but, I'd like to use Seth's platform on this forum, to congratulate Tristin Van Ord of ZAP Fitness in North Carolina on a 2.29.32 in Rotterdam.
Massive PB, likely the fastest women's marathon in a pair of ON shoes, and a great performance Tristin.
Let's Run posters are positive, encouraging and optimistic towards other people's efforts reaching their goals. Aren't they?
I don't know why your more recent post was deleted but funny that you posted just as Seth published his most recent video today. Hi Seth :D
I am not Seth. But I do enjoy calling out the stupidity of people bashing a vlogger while inadvertently being so immersed in his content that they make him money. It is amusing to me.
It looks like the mods deleted my previous post saying as much. It is well known that this board is all about $$ and clicks. No real rules. If they sense anything might stop a thread from growing they put a stop quickly. Some of the biggest threads in history here are the group bashing ones. This post will likely get zapped as well.

Please.
Seth has raised thousands for charity.
It was a discarded jacket -- albeit a pretty unique and cool one. (For those who didn't see the video, it was a 1970s/1980s era vintage white nylon United States Olympic Training Center, Colorado Springs jacket. SJD was born in Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak is one of the mountains that rises above the city.)
Stealing from the poor is even worse! What a selfish scum. He has the whole televangelist thing down: living large, using faith and family as props, promising stuff with vague language, refusing to explain his knowledge, celebrating shortcomings as victories and needing your help and money to do better, and fleecing those in need.
He doesn't have any fkts on the most known climbs in Colorado to be honest. That would likely be Joe Gray and Sage Canaday. Although his ascent time was great, he didn't have any competition and practically had the best weather day in history! Lucky fella. Not sure uphill races are a great idea or at least major events in Colorado because then he has to deal with Joe gray and probably 2 others who beat him regularly. Best bet is to race in Europe at B level events or small events in usa imo or else he gets crushed

Everyone should be like you and uncritically worship every youtuber we know of. Much better!
I thought he should have left his jacket there when he picked up that usa jacket just bc. Then I thought maybe the jacket was staged for the channel. If someone really dropped it they could see it on the channel and tell us why they left it there, maybe more content for dgr?

This makes no sense to me. His ascent time is invalid because of the competition? I can understand bragging about winning it in a weak year… but why bring up the competition in regards to his ascent time?
Guess you aren't racing much? When you don't have competition you have no risk of losing when you blow up so you can run extremely aggressive. Also no pressure. When he has pressure against real competition he gets blown away. Make sense?
No hate on Seth,I used to watch his channel most days, still subscribe but only tune in rarely now as not really interested in his constant shoe reviews etc.
I think he could run the time but he should drop this ‘mad scientist’ rubbish, jogging about 140 miles a week at 9 minute pace with barely any quality workouts.
Just train in the standard way,two workouts and a long run, fill in rest with easy miles and top out at 90-100 miles a week regularly and I honestly think he’d run the time.
for some reason running 9 minute miles in training does not equate to a 2:22 marathon for me. I Was thinking about moving up to colo and training w/seth. I could fly the drone? Butter my Bread!
