Describe Your Running Today, Part II

I went back to the hills today: 25' then right into 6 x ~300m hill, then another 25'. Afterward I did a handfull of barefoot striders on the field. Everything felt great! I finished with some stretching and was enjoying the peaceful Sunday morning so much I actually briefly fell asleep in the grass! Good stuff!

Today, for 44:10

Out & back, uphill towards Cadboro Bay & downhill cruise abck. Extended distance & finished strong. AHR 137 MHR 157.

AM - long run - 24km 1:38.27.

Out & back on relatively flat dirt/gravel trail; 51:14 at turn, 47:13 back. Comfortable effort.

PM - easy 30 mins on grass oval + core stability exercises and stretching at gym ~45mins.

Sunday, XC race, 6.4k, 2nd stage Parco della Madonnetta of the "Corri per il Verde" four-courses championship. Great grass and a little gravel. Slower than anticipated due to an anaerobic warm routine caused by getting the organizers to remove some heroin-used syringes left on the course by local druggies. Can you effing imagine??

Ran back and forth, back and forth trying to worn the other runners of the danger... some thought it was just some random thing and understandably wanted the race to start.

Blew my race but honestly who cares?...

Today might cycle to the track for some diagonals...

an 1hr 20min yesterday on flat trail. Felt wonderful. Im sensing some ITB coming up so will stretch the heck out of it asap.

Rest day today.

That's scary stuff with those syringes, point. Good for you for trying to improve the situation.

And T2N, do you have a foam roller? I've found one to be very helpful with ITB issuses.

Took a nice long aerobic run today with a friend. We got lost in conversation when we suddenly realized we had run for almost 50' away from our starting point. It turned out to be a total of about 98' by the time we got back. Good stuff!

Long weekend in Vegas. No running. +$130

Very tough swim/bike effort on Sunday.

Easy 4-mile run today, then some stretching & core work.

considering u went to Vegas, suprised to see only info relates to a +130$...

Monday: AM 1 hr walk in the park. PM cycle warm up, 10x200m at about 35-36secs, recovery on the grass diagonal, start laps every 90 secs.

Today: racewalking seminar, than 1hr nice and easy on grass.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
