I made the comment earlier after Colin won the 800 but I'll reiterate: what is the over/under on them both making the team for LA 2028? That would be the perfect NBC storyline if two high school teammates made the Olympics in their hometown. It's not quite mom status but I'm sure they'd hype that up almost as much!
Ollie's tough look from 2025 is looking worse. might have used up the last of his race entry race filler favors with the agent, can't see them letting him continue to line up in the big races in 2026.
Ollie H was a disappointment here. Early days (in terms of the season) though..still holding out hope he’ll bounce back to something resembling his old form - he’s not *that* far off. Also, Sinclaire Johnson got murdered in the last 400m..not enough aerobic work? Perhaps needs some longer workouts so she can kick towards the end? She has excellent speed, but it’s no good if the aerobic engine isn’t up to it.
Nico with 3:48 and that kick is insane. If he had better positioning from the start and didn’t have to work his way up from the very back, he easily could have been 2nd which is pretty ridiculous.
Yared can’t sit back. I know he said that was his race plan but he let Myers take the lead with 400 to go instead. He must not have been feeling great coming into this race because he would have normally gone with pacer and lead the last 600

I would love to see both of them make the 2028 Olympic team. The Rich Gonzalez / HdRunner documentaries on Newbury park and those families are pure fire!

Sinclaire Johnson was the pacemaker for the women's mile, unfortunately. since the pack did not go with the actual pacemaker. she held out for as long as she could, but that unfortunate finish is what happens when she does all the work and doesn't have anyone to draft off of.
