We don't need a million thread on this topic. We like one thread per topic. We merged several others into this thread including one called "Alex Pretti was a deranged lunatic." and one called "New York Times reports that Pretti attacked ICE cars 11 days before his death" and one called "LeBron James: Why hasn't he commented on the Alex Pretti killing?"
Why are you lying about him not reaching for his gun in the scuffle? Why did this guy show up armed with extra ammo to a peaceful protest? If he was licensed to carry, why wasn’t he carrying any ID? Why was he fighting in the first place? Uh huh. May as well ask you when did you stop beating your old lady? Don’t say you never did that. We have it on good authority you’re bloodthirsty.

MINNEAPOLIS — Federal agents shot a person in Minneapolis, Gov. Tim Walz said Saturday. City officials in Minneapolis also said they are aware of reports of a possible shooting involving a federal law enforcement agent.
The incident happened in the area of West 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue. It was captured on a video posted to Facebook and verified by NBC News.
“We are working to confirm additional details. We ask the public to remain calm and avoid the immediate area,” the city said in aFacebook post.
Two intersections in South Minneapolis have been blocked from traffic. Dozens of masked federal immigration officers are on the scene, and protesters have started to gather.
Officers have let off some tear gas and pepper bombs.
A DHS spokesperson said, “Suspect had a firearm with 2 magazines situation evolving. Will get you more information ASAP.”
Not that this will matter to the boot licking sheep that will be fine with anything this administration does, but I'm going to drop this right here anyway.
if this is the clearest video, i still cant see anything definitive.
in other videos i dont see a recoil or white spot.
i dont know if the ICE agent leaving is carrying his own gun or APs.
all i can see is AP interfering with an officer trying to push someone away. this is monumentally stupid. to interfere (obstruct) officers whilst carrying a gun is another level of stupidity.
people are comparing this to kyle. if i remember correctly there is video of kyle walking towards police with his weapon, however clearly in a safe non-threatoning way, i dont htink he had hands on.
there is then a scuffle. a person comes out of the scuffle probably carrying a gun but we have no idea who's it is.
then there are shots.
i cant see how any of the above leads to definitive positions either way other than, dont start a fight with armed government agents when you have a gun. if you have a gun oyu have more responsibilities than people who dont.
for the record; i am licensed to carry a gun in public and when, very rarely, i do, i am very very careful especially around police. if i was stopped by police with my gun the first thing i would do is keep my hands out by my side in plain sight and say; i have a legal gun, it is.....you are welcome to disarm me etc etc, what would you like me to do?
further, i have been stopped by police in a van when the rear opened and about 5 officers armed with assault weapons jumped out and rushed at me pointing their weapons at me. as above. i stood still, with my hands out by my side and simply did exactly what they said.

You will never stop trying to justify murder by state officials from this regime. The victim was entitled to carry a firearm under the 2nd Amendment, he didn't produce the firearm against the ICE agents (also according to affidavit witness evidence), his gun was taken from him by an agent and then he was shot 10 times by the agents. That is murder.
You will be back next week defending the American Gestapo when another American citizen is murdered exercising their 1st Amendment rights.

Hell no.
Victim was filming them from a distance. Weapon in holster. ICE approached him, and he continued to back away. ICE pushes nearby woman to ground, at which point victim tries to help her up. Several ICE agents then tackle victim to the ground.
While victim is on ground, his arms are also on the ground—at no point does he reach for his holstered weapon.
One ICE agent pulls out his weapon, with finger on the trigger (TERRIBLE discipline)
Another ICE agent in gray jacket grabs victim’s weapon from victim’s holster, then starts running off with it. While running, he accidentally discharges the weapon (maybe bc he also had finger on the trigger)
ICE agent with weapon out shoots victim once in the back —and then multiple more times in the back. Another ICE agent also starts shooting victim as well, maybe. Hard to tell. Either way, victim is shot at a total of 10 or so times, all into his back or back of his head
What was he doing there? There was no protest going on. He was obviously following ICE personnel to impede their work. Why was he carrying a loaded gun with extra ammo? He obviously had an idea of shooting it. This is not what Walz and Frey have called peaceful protest. It is stalking with intent to disrupt and/or harm.
You can’t state it enough right wingers are god damn morons who are twisting themselves into a pretzel to vilify this brave and kind soul. A nurse at a va and a caring man. They know they don’t match up in any way. They’re just internet trolls who don’t do anything with their lives.
Having seen numerous videos posted on this thread it is easy to see why there is a rush to judgement. Politicians and supporters on both sIdes rush to legitimize their claims with inflaming rhetoric. For me it just brings up so many unanswered questions. Ones that need to be answered in order to establish a clearer picture of the events and to hold individuals accountable for their actions or inactions. Actions that we see in slow mo and freeze frame happen in split seconds. For me its time for all parties to disengage, take a step back versus add gasoline to the fire.
1. While showing up to a protest with License to Carry weapon is well within a persons right, why put yourself in the middle of a confrontation while carrying ?
2. Was there really a need to carry extra clips of ammo along with your weapon when the clip in the weapon had sufficient rounds for self protection ? What was the motivation for doing such?
3. Why did the protester resist when confronted with what seemed to be overwhelming force? For that matter why did it take 5 agents to subdue one person?
4. Who first identified that the protester was carrying? What did he say to alert others of the fact?
5. If the agent who removed the weapon from the protester had enough time to calmly remove the weapon, back away from the scene - why did the officers use deadly force?
6. If the agent that took the gun in fact discharged it (which is not clear to me in the videos) - Why? That discharge would have lit the candle for deadly force
7. With the protester lying on the ground, incapacitated and disarmed why was there a need to fire additional rounds?
Sadly many of these questions will remain unanswered as the protester is dead. I think we can all agree that it is time to disengage, take a step back, reconsider our positions and ask the hard questions without further inflaming the situation on the ground. ICE needs to stand down, the protesters need to go home and both sides need to come together to put an equitable end to this.
That's really rich that Democrats are using this incident to defend the second Amendment. Unbelievable, and completely pathetic, and I guess predictable.
The main point of this incident is don't wrestle with multiple cops when you are being arrested, even if you believe the arrest is unjustified. (Here the arrest was justified) What did he think was going to happen? He was going to out fight five cops and get away? Even it is proven the shooting was unwarranted, his actions and his behaviors alone are the reason why he is unfortunately dead, all for the ridiculous cause of protecting criminal illegal aliens from being apprehended and making our society safer. What a shame.
