Grace beat Cornerstone and both beat Goshen tonight at Wayne State.
Goshen looks like maybe they were missing some kids.
Madonna as well with not enough men to score? Indiana Tech on both sides appear to be weak. Interesting mix of D2 and NAIA teams. What is the course like compared to IWU, Taylor, Bethel, Riverside, etc..
It was 85 degrees at race time. Course is hilly with no shade. Difficult to judge how much this affected times or the team outcome. I think we’ll get a much better idea of where these teams are at in 2 weeks. Cornerstone, Grace and Goshen all look like bubble teams as of now but need to find some depth. Goshen sat at least one of their top 5. Impressive win for Jamin Thompson over some much more accomplished runners.
Big shake up in the men's rankings coming though. Obviously very early and nothing matters BUT Milligan/Masters/COI looking great early and Cumberlands/IWU stumbling a bit (versus perceived preseason rank). Plus the all the 15-30 teams ... good luck raters. We'll be sending you our thoughts and prayers this week. LOL
Wouldn't be surprised to see Cumberlands move out of the top 5
I think the biggest movers on the ladies side will probably be Montreat.

Who do you put into the top 5 instead of Cumberlands?
I can respect that, but if I am a rater, I am not moving EOU up that high until I see them race. They do not open their season until next Friday at the Cascade preview. That meet will answer a lot of questions about some of those schools. I am personally interested in Corban's men, are they as good as advertised or are they over hyped?

Corbin looked pretty good their first meet
They did, for a 6k. But they barely beat LC State's reserves and when you add in 2 extra k's ... anything can happen. Again, not knocking them, cause chatter out of the Cascade from one coach I respect is that they are legit. Just want to figure them out a bit better.
How does Cumberland actually want to win nationals? They didn't look strong in Alabama. It looks like almost all of the internationals are ineligible or injured. As of now, they only have Asslouj and Madeo who can run cross country fast, the rest are average or just trash. With those two alone, they can't beat other teams. They won't even make it into the top 5 with that performance.
Spring Arbor has to be one of the biggest movers for men. They looked phenomenal.
I can see St. Francis's men moving down quite a bit but not their women. They looked really good for missing two runners.
Spring Arbor is already ranked 18th, it is hard to justify great movement when they did not race anyone ranked nor did they race a historical course (meaning we have years of data on what the performance can mean for a team going forward). St. Francis women ran their whole team, it was the men who were missing three of their top 7.
