Kudos on a faster run than NYCM. Faces in the crowd make it memorable.

congrats, tpcb......udaman......good news to report on this end too......bumped things up to 47' on Sunday with no major problems......took a day off then nudged things to 48' yesterday.......all good.....plan to attempt 50' before the week is out.....continuing to work the foam roller.......almost back.....

Just got back: Boston Frankfurt, Frankfurt Rome (had to recheck in as flights not guaranteed.) Long, cramping voyage. All the empty campbeds from stranded victims in Franfurt were sorta eerie.

Getting back with no cancellations and minimal delay was more than enough to be thankful for.

Train-and-tram-ed it home, then went for a slow spin in Villa Pamphili at lunchtime as if i had never left, with the usual, syncopated planning chatter of workouts ahead of us. Some drills. Feeling blissfully sore. Sun's out; going to pick up the kids at school soon.

Ah, but yes, The MOARG...

Today, a solid 45m paddle on the lake and a 90min slow, easy trot thru the Knowsley Forest. Very pleasant running after a rainy night which left the trails nice and soft underfoot. Sitellas and tree creepers were very busy on the trunks of the trees.The tree tops were full of unidentified smallish grey birds. I suspect they may have been migratory. Perhaps lured by our current minor locust plague. The roos were out in force, they are looking very well fed thanks to our recent rains.

Yesterday, a reasonably good paced run for 90mins in the Argyle Forest.As always there were many roos and also the usualhandful of wallabies about. A smallish echidna came scampering blindly toward me at one stage. He got a big shock when he noticed me.

Monday, 90min easy trot around the steep trails of the McIvor Range. I had worked a night shift and had just 2hrs sleep in the previous 36hrs. The pace was leisurely.

I raced saturday and sunday,6.5kms and 5kms -totalled about 15-16k both days. Biked saturday post race and kyakked sunday post race.

5.4 miles, dog in tow. He's aged in the last year. Now I'm pulling him.

4k walk to school and back

X- train; 33 min,127AHR. Stopped to chat with one of the neighbors out for her morning walk.

The spin time and break from works tedium was priceless.

60 minutes, easy first half, medium/hard second half. Very humid here in central VA--looks like lots of rain in the coming days,

lunchtime:

big turn out in Villa Pamphili, with MarcoC, PaoloG, FrancoP, SandroF, PaoloC, PaoloP, FabioB, StefanoB, MaurizioZ, AldoB and others.

Slight drizzle, ideal racing temps, After wu, four of us broke off for the hill circuit, did 13 times, 12 of them (about 6k) 2 minutes faster than usual pace. Post Boston status ok.

Nice long bike ride with family on the upper Tiber river Farfa park. the little guys pedalled for 26km. We are going to go for a tour of The Netherlands based on today's overall performance...

touched the 50' mark on Thursday with mixed results.....somewhat foolishly I wore my new, more minimal, shoes......left Achilles was pretty sore afterward.....fortunately it returned to "normal" within about 48 hours.....went out again on Sunday, but kept it to 43' to avoid a relapse......still some of the usual tightness there, but mostly good....we'll see what today brings, but it could be 2 days off before I lace them up again...

All day errands and bike commuting.

Lunchtime: barefot quadrupedia on the stairs in Villa Pamphili, mild, felt aligned.

Today, 60min hiking on the hills with ski poles then 45min solid run on hilly trails. I've been a bit restricted with a hammie strain the last few days. I felt good after hiking so shortened it and then took off running. Hamstring feels OK!

Yesterday (mon). 50min session in the kyak, a few sprints included. An hour on the mountain bike.

Sunday. No race, Anzac Day holiday, it's considered disrespectful to play sport on Anzac morning. I went out for an 80min hike with the poles on some steep terrain at mid-day in place of a run due to hamstring soreness.

Saturday. A club race over a flat 6.5km. 4km warmup but was very stiff in the hamstring groin area. Ran a shocker, just going through the motions. Jogged about a km and walked a km post race.
