Why did you get so much faster immediately upon leaving Olaf?
Only Intelligent questions young one.
perhaps one day you can break 30 minutes (In the 8k lol)
I’ll say as much as I respect your ability to type somewhat coherently on crack, I still think it’s ill advised.
Bati jogged 7k and still put a significant gap on Turlington. Only way it’s close is if Olaf has its slower runners trying to impede Bati as he laps them. He put a minute on everyone last year and got serious about training this fall. I’m guessing Mo sets a new conference record to take 4/5 top times in conference meet history including the top 2.
While that’s the knock on Bati, that he never takes it from the gun, I think that makes his domination that much more impressive. He hangs out with his friends for 23 minutes so they feel empowered and fast, then he casually drops them like no man can. If he goes hard from the gun I could see him win by 2:00. I also think Gabe and Indy’s improvement curve gives them a good chance of taking down Turlington. Ricks’s teams always improve late season. They Carls and Johnnies should not be counted out of the conversation.
I'm hearing the Oles plan to create hockey style flying V around Bati to prevent him from getting out. Don't worry Augsburg fans, Bati learned about the Japanese U-turn from Coach Lundo and the MDE team. He will execute it with perfection to torch the pretender Turlington by 2:30 and the rest of the Oles by 4:00.
It's nice of Mo to take the week off so someone else can earn a MIAC Athlete of the Week award. Can he continue his streak through the track season of winning every week?
I'm hearing more like 200m, which is closer to 45 seconds. This puts the Carls that much closer to the Oles and gives Gabe and Indy a legit chance to beat Turkington.
Why can't coaches figure out accurate course distances. The Olaf course is 87 meters long, the Conn course is close to 300m short, and the Augustana course is 250m long. What distance will the MIAC course be? Last time they hosted, the course and distance changed after the preview meet.
It is very typical of Coach Chunko to find some short course somewhere far away so he can brag about the fast times his team runs.
If you adjust for the Auggie course to be an accurate 8K, MIAC athletes run -
Do we think Power knows that hubris is? Maybe a Mac or Carleton athlete can explain how his hubris leads to his own personal downfall. It’s clear that Dave is the favorite for Coach of the Year after emerging from the ashes of 2024 like the scintillating offspring of a beautiful peacock and radiant phoenix. And let’s not forget Power’s incredible level of unpopularity in the MIAC coaching ranks
Strava makes it clear Conn was an accurate 8K course that ran 40 seconds fast while Augustana was clearly 5.10 miles long. Extrapolating times from each course shows that if the Carleton freshmen continue to improve at the expected rate this will be a race for the ages. Carleton should have two runners in front of the Ole and have one more who could emerge. The Oles have underperformed in big meets this year, perhaps missing Skemp’s sht posting and the Carls keep getting better.
I don’t know that anyone will beat the Oles, but with all the advantages Olaf has, their coach absolutely should not win Coach of the Year. They are supposed to win MIAC and he has done nothing special to deserve recognition.
If Carleton gets second, there is a strong argument for Ricks, but I think Gustavus or Mac could have an equally good argument. The Gusties are greatly improved and in the mix to be a top four team after floundering the last few years. If Mac can pull it together to finish second or third after graduating several all-time greats and having their top runner injured all year Carleton grad Coach Dan deserves to be acknowledged by his peers.
Fun fact, Chunko is the first winning coach in over 20 years to not win the MIAC Coach of the Year. He is so disliked that the coaches picked the coach of a team that scored 90 more points and only had two All-MIAC runners!
This is a joke right? Augsburg has the worst team in the conference by far. Without Bati they would be dead last by a lot. With Bati they will be 2nd to last. Doesn't Bati train with a different group anyways?
Why isn't Chunko recruiting Minnesota High Schoolers. Every MIAC coach was recruiting the last few days and he stayed home to post on Instagram. And he wonders why nobody likes him and he has to recruit out of state.

Maybe we should just score the conference meet with only Minnesotans. I’d assume Gustavus and St. John’s would crush the rest of the conference with Bethel not far behind.
Turlington, Gael, Doran, Bjork, and Fiataruolo are a strong scoring 5 of Minnesotans. Dumb argument. I didn’t realize Garrett Seppanen had transferred in. If he can get anywhere near his high school times he’s a steal.
If a zombie John Ihrke is chasing Coach Chunko in search of a large and sumptuous meal, how long would Chunko survive before being eaten? For the purposes of this problem, let’s assume the average walking pace of a zombie is 17:30 per mile and that zombies cannot run. To aid Chunko’s attempts to remain alive, we will provide Chunko with his lifetime best fitness, which will assume is 10:00 per mile “jogging”. With that in mind, will Chunko A) make it less than 3200 meters before succumbing or B) less than 3200m? Like off A or dislike for B. Provide proof for your work in comments.
